Maybe do a review of the draft book they’ve released. Everything feels very Ghibli / Avatar / Zelda esque and the writers go into a lot of depth about the game on their podcast. Idk man, it looks like an absolute highlight to me and I feel like they addressed a lot of your criticisms once they started writing the book.

Thank you for this video! This would be good to share with a player who doesn't have the book to give them an idea of what to expect before showing up, creating a character, and enjoying the last days.

Love this! I’m excited to run a game for my little cousins! The eldest just got a full set of dice with class earned tickets! I’d love to hear how it goes when you do introduce RPGs to your youngin. To be clear, you’d introduce the first game in the video to the youngest players?

These tutorials are amazing. If you ever get the urge to do the new Paranoia Perfect Edition, I and my fellow troubleshooters will be eternally grateful.

Still hugely confused about the question section… how would this work? Do the players just randomly decide if they like or dislike another player character?

Oh man, it was nice to finally get to watch a session! I'm very new to the system, and it's kind of overwhelming to have everything being so... "open" as in how you tackle the challenges. It's also great how everyone seems to be into the idea of a Castlevania setting! I hope you guys get to play more of it in the future, I would love to see more characters from future generations!

We have (almost) finished the black sludge campaign/one-shot (took us 4-5 sessions; albeit in one of those sessions we never left the room and rolled no dice, that was a very hilarious RP session it seemed!). At first it was a bit harder to get into the RNG nature of the game, we were using it to take a break from a 5e DnD campaign. But after 1 session we were hooked, throwing our gutter born scum into the thick of it! in 1 session I died twice and was quickly onto my 3rd character. The 'your no one' nature of the game is great, you feel less like a hero and more like a PC in a horror movie... Am i going to die if I go in first? Surely going at the back of the pack is also a death sentence? But doesn't the dude in the middle also always die??! Died looting a corpse! Died in the sludge! and then I rolled Brinta! 6 hp, full plate (-d6 damage), armed with a mahoosive flail and so far nothing has been able to scratch me. For a game system we only intended to pickup and put down, it has now replaced our 5e campaign, it saves our DM loads of time and the reduced complexity really helps you stop trying to min/max your hero and realise you are nothing but a corpse who doesn't know its dead yet!

Ive been a huge fan of kids on bikes for a while, i dont have the time anymore to read thru a 500 page core rules book so having just 20 or so pages to learn is a godsend. Over the years I've run a few homebrews of it to keep it interesting, and have found that it can pair really nicely with other rules like systems, my go to is usually Year Zero or Savage Worlds. If i want a "grittier" game but not something crunchy enough to warrant a dedicated system, then I'll usually add the bennies and health from savage worlds and expand the list if Strengths and Flaws, those are usually setting specific but use the various Year Zero systems as a baseline. Right now I've been running a cyberpunk game with the theme being Jet Set Radio/Bomb Rush Cyberfunk with these added rules and it's going real nice imo

I have an entire folder on my old laptop full of powers I devised for player characters, but one of my favorites was "Blessings and Curses". The character has the ability to bless or curse objects/things/people around him. Blessed objects fulfill their intended use better (dice were more random, phones communicated more clearly, etc) and were more resistant to harm, while the opposite is true of his curses (books were harder to read, doorways slower to pass through, etc). The more dice he used, the more powerful these effects were, and at high levels he could do the same to people. The one thing that always haunted the character was that his curses glowed green while his blessings were magenta. This always triggering the reminder that magenta isn't a real color, it's something our minds made up, and he wondered what that would portend...

The Bonfire system makes sense considering the actual game. Nearest bonfire is usually the most recent one you interacted with, not necessarily the last one you rested at. which "makes sense" if you've played the video games, but if you haven't then this is a mess.

Mörk Borg is TOP NOTCH! Reasonably unlike preceding rules sets. ...now you can play Pirate Borg, and CY_Borg, too! Three utterly different, yet compatible genres. And you can TOTALLY make it a serious, deep and detailed game if you want to.

The quickstart pages are in the full book pretty much word-for-word, however the full book does also include a lot more information, including information about the eyebot as well as loot tables for all the weapons, armor, clothing, aid items, etc, as well as tons of enemies and other mechanics such as crafting, bartering, etc. Given that the quickstart is free, it seems that the intention is more of a demo than an actual quickstart, with the expecation that you'd buy the actual book to get answers to all of those questions.

I'm not sure what stat blocks this guy looks at but I don't know what ones have actions or abilities for "being friendly" the stat block of anything is FOR COMBAT and then the other aspects of a creature are RPed by the GM... not very hard to understand... am I missing something here?

One of my fav games of all time, when me and my friends play it we have lots of fun, the GM less so because you need a lot of mental strenght to play Paranoia lmao Also fun fact, in Italy is also called "Paranoia" wich literally translate to "paranoid", a title that explains perfectly the game lmao

I was reading the CRB for Mork Bork and I realized that you do not add your Strength Modifier to melee attacks. I thought I had to be wrong. So, I came here for a swcond opinion and it turns out you don't add your Strength Modifier to melee attacks. That is wild to me.
