There is only $740 difference in base price between these two. It’s hard to understand why anyone would choose the 2.5 S. The Blind Spot Monitor and Advanced Keyless are worth that. Not to mention the 18” wheels, leatherette and several other features. I always thought the 2.5 S was aimed at fleet buyers, but I’ve never seen one in a rental fleet now that I think about it.

The 2023 looks hideous compared to the 22! And being a new design, it's in its beta phase.....haven't worked out the bugs yet. And no fog lights? No magic seats? Call me crazy, but I think sales of the 2023 will be far less than the year before. I just bought a 2022 a month ago, and it's a gorgeous car. Got the deep blue metallic Sport model. This video made me even happier that I got a 22.

I have a 2017 with same options. Great car. Just turned 100k miles. A few problems, but nothing major. I average 24 mpg. Your door panels will warp and so will the center console.

I like the CX50 better, love the fender flares. Longer wheelbase and more rear leg room.

I really like it but my main concern is the 134 hp. If you add two full sized adults in it with the A/C on and try to merge onto the highway, you might be in trouble 😂

I can tell you cx50 feels less premium in the interior compared to cx5. too many parts squeaking and feeling cheaply made. I did purchase 2024 cx50 premium and do feel difference in quality compared to cx5. the Japanese touch is much superior to the Alabama manufacturing. I feel like guys are coming back to the assembly line and high and on cloud 9 for things to be this cheap and clunky.

Me personally I would get the SS, you get more niceties for not that much more money, also if you don’t tick all the options, you could get it at 25K, although it is up to the dealer as I have been hearing that they do not sell for 25, nevertheless it’s a very impressive car for the price
