There is only $740 difference in base price between these two. It’s hard to understand why anyone would choose the 2.5 S. The Blind Spot Monitor and Advanced Keyless are worth that. Not to mention the 18” wheels, leatherette and several other features. I always thought the 2.5 S was aimed at fleet buyers, but I’ve never seen one in a rental fleet now that I think about it.

Guess because I just bought a Mazda that your video came up for me. In May I actually traded in my 2020 Widebody ScatPack Challenger for a 2024 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatchback Premium Plus. Why. you ask? I just got tired of the type of people that the Challenger attracted. Yes, my new Mazda is not near as powerful, but, it's actually a lot better than most think. Also, after driving it for almost 2 months, I love driving it more than the previous Dodges that I've owned over the past 15 years. I'm 100% happy with the new Mazda. One thing I think people may want to know about these models that you are showing, is if either or both of these AWD or FWD? I didn't look close enough when the camera was on the back of the car. Otherwise, great video!

The black piano interior trim will also show more scratches specifically when the sun is shining on it. But you can put clear PPF on it. Those black gloss wheels will easily scratch up it will look bad under the sun.

Me personally I would get the SS, you get more niceties for not that much more money, also if you don’t tick all the options, you could get it at 25K, although it is up to the dealer as I have been hearing that they do not sell for 25, nevertheless it’s a very impressive car for the price
