Well said Ethan. I know first hand what the pharmaceutical companies think of plant based foods - they are against them. I would hear during meetings that "antibiotics are not bad" and "alternative proteins will cause a decline in sales". I also know first hand that the US ranchers were going to boycott a specific company because they thought that company had invested in a plant based meat alternative. The whole meat industry is dirty and cruel.

Just like cigarettes went out of style due to cancer, so will red meat and dairy as each generation gets to fully understand how super unhealthy these things are. The momentum towards vegetarianism and veganism is picking up in the new generations.

It’s good to hear Dr. Katsumoto’s view that food is medicine and more American doctors are embracing lifestyle medicine and speaking with their patients about healthful sustainable eating choices. How can we Americans push Congress to move subsidies from those such as incredibly cheap, below market grazing fees to incentivize more sustainable agriculture and emphasizing more healthful plants in the American diet?

Etan I think you shouldn't attract the carnivore/omnivore customer by scaring them with diseases contracted if they eat animal meat! (You should ban every "healthy" propaganda message and be less of an evangelist You think about your own!, just do good marketing without complaints, "complaints" take away energy! (for example, the packaging should be done with the most visible, most visible burgers, like the meat being sold! Let everyone eat what they want. Focus more on the high vibrational energy that these types of foods give, whether they are produced by you or not! Remember for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction p.s I'm an investor and I see stocks going down every day Kind regards from italy

Wow. Sorry I'm a year late but I had to revisit this gem to see how our policy got so far of the rails for the 2025 DGAC. The information being given here 32:20 is beyond reckless. Consuming DNA 'damaged' by cooking damages human DNA? On what planet?

Natural flavoring in your Beyod product needs to be removed or the ingredients in it listed. I am in support of what you do, but label transparency is a must, or I won't purchase your product. Carmine red, often disguised as/ in natural flavoring, is made from beetles. Not saying this is the case with your product. I just have no accurate way of knowing. Thank you for creating a plant based alternative. I appreciate that you are doing this.

I find it quite ironic that a bunch of educated nutrition experts know basically next to nothing about nutrition and the proper human diet. First of all, I would guess there is zero Trump supporters speaking or attending in the audience. Having said that, most of these people have no idea that the whole idea of eating plants in America did not come from liberals. It actually came from a bunch of right-wing puritanical Christians including Sylvester Graham, James Caleb Jackson, and one of the co-founders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Ellen G. White. White did not want young Christians to have strong sexual urges, so she advised plant--based nutrition. She also had visions that meat cause cancer, and her followers, including John Harvey Kellogg, and a bunch of dietitians created modern American vegetarianism, and created the American Dietetic Association in 1917, which changed it's name to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2012. If Gardner and the rest of these people understood that all this vegetarian nonsense came from conservative, religious lunatics, he might change his mind about vegetarianism, but obviously he doesn't. Just had to lay some inconvenient truth on everybody...

You probably don't know this, but Stanford already did a study comparing diets, where they compared the Ornish, ZONE, Traditional and Atkins diets for weight loss. The Atkins diet, which is a low carb near carnivore diet, kicked ass over the other three diets for weight loss. I will give you one guess who the professor who conducted the diet study was...yes, it was Chris Gardner... Don't believe me? You can watch it yourself: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4Oopo17mbJ0jNE

This 'study' is a great example of why science can no longer be trusted and the Netflix 'documentary' a great example of a propaganda program designed to push a plant based diet. The study compared a whole food vegan diet to an unhealthy omnivorous diet. (Low fat meat and grains is NOT a healthy diet). There was no wash out period between the diets. The results focused on terrible markers of health (LDL) and glossed over the important ones (muscle mass). The conclusion completely ignored the fact that the order of the diets completely changed the results. If you want to prove a vegan diet is healthy, compare it to a carnivore diet allowing for fat adaptation and have a suitable wash out period in between.

The study itself isn't propaganda, it's just great science. The Netflix show is definitely pushing an agenda, albeit most of which I agree with from an ethical POV I must confess.
