This tuffy came on my radar recently and I am quite interested in using it to fish the south Devon coast.

I’ve used mine in Devon and Cornwall! Absolutely love it. Catch all sorts from it. I love its versatility. There’s a few videos on my channel regarding the use of this boat and lots of fishing vids to!

Just noticed you dont have a level wind on your reel and you dont feed it evenly with your thumb, just curious to how you get the line to wind back on the spool evenly? Thanks
@MuscleFishingOfficialКүн бұрын
I have naturally learned over time to twist the rod either left or right as I’m bringing in the line to spool ot evenly. The weight of the fish/and or weight will do the work. The only time I need to guide it on is the big game reels when fighting tuna or common skate really. Depths of 100ft I don’t find it to much of a thought process. The tilting I do though. Hope that helps

Cracking blue, yes you can do it in a 3m boat well done, good start to your holiday. When fishing for shark do you drop the anchor, if not why not?
@MuscleFishingOfficial2 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yes it’s easily done with good preparation and organisation. You don’t set the anchor. The reason for this is you need to drift in order for the chum to work properly and draw in the sharks. By drifting you cover more ground and bring in more blues which are in the top of the water column.
@Brian-mb9ezКүн бұрын
@@MuscleFishingOfficialhi Jake, thanks for the reply and the explanation why you don’t anchor when chumming for sharks. To my knowledge we don’t get blues up in this neck of the woods, we do get porbeagle though which is on the wish list for 2025, hopefully we will get more than a handful of days at sea next year 🤞

I was using a boom and a 6” sidewinder with 6ft of leader to catch bass today out in Portland. Caught a few nice sizes. The only problem I had was the leader tangled with the boom. What causes this? Thanks for the videos!!
@MuscleFishingOfficialАй бұрын
So today we had tiny tides. If it tangles with your boom it’s generally down to the trace length being too long. So try shortening it. Small tides when dropping your rig do it slowly as that prevents tangles aswel 😊 well done on your fish!
