Love this video, and the variety you are getting to try on a thaali. We grew up having very little to no sugar in our gujerati food, which I think is becoming more common now. the green vegetable looks like giloda which is also known as tindora or ivy gourd. Quite popular in Gujerati cooking. Touch base when you re back home and we can share a meal together .

Try Kathiyawadi thali ...its on the spicy side... unlike the sweet Gujarati thali... Kathiyawad is a part of Gujarat. Specifically ask for Kathiyawadi thali only else they will provide mostly Gujarati..

Each state in India boasts its unique Thali, reflecting its authentic food culture. Examples include the Marathi Thali from Maharashtra, Gujarati Thali, Punjabi Thali, Rajasthani Thali, and Kolkata's special dishes. South India also offers a rich variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. As you travel across India, you can explore this diverse culinary landscape.
