It’s too thick to tie…😢😢

Oh dear! I was going to suggest the same thing. Depending on how close together your wire is, you might have better luck trimming them a little thinner. I also found that even cutting them a little longer (if you haven't cut them all already?!) may help to get them through if you're finding it a little fiddly.

I’ve only ever made them on a small scale for personal parties. I would think perhaps using pre cut foil or sourcing chocolate bars that are already wrapped in foil? That should cut down on some time.

It was some time ago that I made this so my memory is a little fuzzy! But I would say it took me about 20 minutes, maybe a little longer. This was from hanging the rod to completion. It all depends on how particular you are with arranging the colours. Also, you could save time by not arching the streamers 😊

For this project I used a bright white smooth paper of around 160gsm (not too thin or too thick). I have tried photo paper since, which is nice as it prints more vibrantly however I find it's more rigid when wrapping due to it's thickness. So you might want to test them out to see what suits you best!

Hi, you need paper that's not too thick so that it wraps nicely. You could start with something around 28lb paper / 100gsm range. I used 100gsm for these wrappers and was happy with how they turned out. Personally, I look for bright white for a vivid print and smooth over textured. Hope that helps!

Hi, the streamers were 12m per roll, which I believe translates to about 40 feet per roll in imperial. I ended up using 5 rolls of 4 colours but still had some left over from that. I could have used less but I wanted to balance out the colours. I did double them over the rod also. The height of the overall backdrop will just depend on the space you're putting it in, if there's furniture or something similar under it and how high that is. I can't remember how long the longest streamers were, at a guess I would say around 1.3m but no more than 1.5m. I hope that helps!

Oh no, I always forget about it being windy myself until it's too late! So you're ahead already. If the main rod is fairly secure it might be okay but seeing as they are paper, if it is quite windy they could get fairly messy or even rip. I would try tying them to the main rod rather than just draping them over.

Hi Mohamad, inkjet printers print more vivid colours so I would go for the best in your budget range. I actually use a fairly cheap one that does a pretty good job. Aside from that I would also recommend using quality paper. Whilst you can use basic everyday copy paper, it definitely does make a difference to print on something a little thicker and smooth for wrappers.

@@mohamadnasr4858 That's great Mohamad, I'm glad to hear it has worked out well for you! I generally recommend trying to view the paper in person before buying it. I often buy small samples to trial too. Since I source my paper locally in Australia I wouldn't want to recommend something online that I haven't tried before. If you have to buy online without viewing it in person then try to stick to a well-known brand. If you're trying to find paper for wrappers like these I would use 100gsm matt or satin smooth paper as a starting point but possibly go higher. As opposed to glossy for home printing. But this would depend on the capabilities of your printer. Usually u can just buy the paper already cut for really cheap online. I got some fortnite wraps for my nephew's party and it came with 45 for $2.50 and they came with the foil already cut too.

In the video it seems like their the same size but a bit smaller from one side that way u can see the foil in the sides

Hi Edwige, you can find a paper trimmer from just about all craft stores, department stores or even stationery stores. I'm in Australia, mine is from Officeworks.

Sure! The removable hooks I used to hang the dowel weren't actually big enough for the dowel to sit on there. So I looped the zip ties around the hooks so that I could sit the dowel inside them. It was also useful for making sure the backdrop was level. I hope this helps!
