Awesome!!! It is a discovery for me! I knew about him as Great Classical Music Promoter, lecturer, Conductor, but never seen him live performance as a pianist! He is stunning pianist! Feels Mozart’s music so well, so sophisticated! That is a gift from God, very few can perform Mozart in Style, feeling for his Sunny Nature, Happy, but innocent Character! Bravo, Maestro!!! The Conducting along with being a Soloist - Very difficult task! Leonid Bernstein did it Amazingly!!! So genius ! Bravo!!! And the orchestra did great job too! Soloist/ conductor and orchestra made perfect ensemble! They feel each other, themselves, soloist - as One whole body of Unprecedented, Great Mozart’s music! Bravo to all!

The finale (Allegro) is out of Solar System but in My Opinion the best version is the Frans Bruggen's one.

One of the best performances in terms of emotion, sound, beautiful laziness and eroticism, and understanding of style.
Does the audience clap at the end of the 3rd as for means of following tradition, like how people stand up for Hallelujah in Handel's mass, or did the audience genuinely slip up? I've never seen this performed live (although it's on my bucket list) so I don't know, if it's by tradition or if one person started clapping and it started a virus.

Completely (almost) OT, but Victor Hansen Davis’s bullshit “ad” with his stupid “Woke Revolution” nonsense was sufficiently distracting from this marvelous piece I have to hold forth. The blatant rightwingnutjobbery demonizing awareness of our failure as Americans to live up to our own Declaration of Independence is divisive for the sake of division. To be clear, what our idiot MAGAT brothers and sisters demand it that we all agree there is no systemic racism, no attempt to “other” citizens of the ‘wrong” color, or religion, or gender expression, or immigrant status, for us all to believe everyone is equal before the law. IN SPITE OF DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY. Davis and Hillsdale “College” promote latter-day Jim Crow fascism inartfully disguised as white “christian” nationalism.

What an interesting idea, to place the wind over to the right, that being in front of him. The wind in Mozart is so important, brilliant and beautiful. It really works!
