Subaru telling Wilhelm that he's HAPPY that Wilhelm is making a grave for his wife and that he'd be HONORED to say a few words for her was perfect commentary and a nod to an earlier statement of Wilhelm noting that he can speak so freely to Subaru but not his own grandson. It’s why I believe the words he was going to say is that “perhaps subaru could be something akin to a grandson to me” But saying something so shameful would be a disrespect to himself, one who abandoned his actual family and was in part the reason it was broken like how we see it to be. In part he created the Reinhardt of today who suppresses all his emotions due to the trauma of being blamed for his wife’s death!

Hey I'm famous 39:42 😁 I really liked this week episode! Only the CGI creatures that I thought it was a bit odd, specially in contrast with the gorgeous Priscilla animation using the yang sword. But the character designs, scenarios and the quality of animation improved so much! The gecko barasu face is the funniest example to show the evolution imo. The little detail of 184 smiling, because in her head she would finally be free of Regulus.. She must have cursed Emilia mentally so much for saving her lol. 184 and Emilia are the only ones wearing a different clothes from the rest of the other Regulus "spouses". Apparently one thing that got cut from Crunchyroll subtitles is that Priscilla said that her main objective is to find Schultz and visiting the shelters with Liliana was "just a consequence of that" (like not wanting to admit that she was helping the others), that's why Subaru was smiling when she said that. Only 2 episodes left before the pause! Things passed really fast. It feels like yesterday when the 90 minute episode was released.

I thought the demon dogs vs dragon was just a random vision referencing past arc. I thought the demon dog curses were erased with their deaths, if he still has them in him, this scene makes more sense. Dragon blood curse is fighting against demon dog one. Capella intended to transform him into something, but demon dog curse interfered with it!

I want arc 6 so bad, you guys are the best voice actors ever!

We’re so lucky arc 5 is getting this adaptation, as unfortunate the issues with season 2 were if they stumbled here it would’ve been much more detrimental

Of all the amazing moments of Arc 5, this speech stands above it all. A great performance from Wolf. I hope the Anime is able to replicate even to a 10th of this performance.

Major fan theory breakthrough! We all know how Satella 's miasma causes murderous intent, and even causes Rem to murder Subaru. What if the very reason any violence from the sin archbishops, and the sole reason they all came to Priestella was because they were unknowingly lured there because of this miasma? Even if they were on a, unrelated mission. Perhaps, the miasma is like a moth to a flame scenario when it come to violence, no matter if Subaru just recently died or not. Perhaps his very existence in this world draws out violence? The only other evidence I have to measure this with is when Subaru fought Julius Juukulius. Julius pushed the fight too far to the point of severely injuring Subaru, without regards to his nobility as a knight, or to how weak his opponent was. The only other thing I have on this theory is how aggressive characters seem to always mistreat, or are provoked by Subaru, and how normally non-aggressive characters seemingly are provoked by his existence. I.E. Rem, Beatrice, Roswall, Garfiel, Meli, Ram, Well, just about everyone from the Emilia camp has treated him like shit,one time or a another.

I think gold may have slightly misunderstood what capella meant when she said she was glad Subaru hated her. It wasn’t becuase she wants to be seen as evil. To her, it was proof that Subaru agreed with the flies and dragon being unlovable and disgusting. If he hated her for making them “repulsive”. Than he acknowledges that Capellas point about physical appearance’s being all anyone loves, is true. At least in her head

I read the summary of arc 5 when season 1 just ended and it blew my FRIKKIN MIND. Seeing Capella's introduction animated is a joy for my soul)
