I have seen some videos that burn it, others that hide it like me with glue, I prefer to hide it, my thread is not synthetic, it is hemp thread, the glue I use is water-based and rubber is very very resistant I don't think those threads will come out, at least in about 10 years hehe. Not got to that point yet but generally if its polyester you melt it, if its linen you glue. Nothing to do with being more secure as both methods are just tidying up the loose thread. Hope that helps.

As you say it all comes down to personal preference, as does a lot in this craft (burnishing is a whole debate to itself 😅).
