hi bro, first of all thanks for watching our videos, answering your question, it is tokonole agent for burnishing, in the squeeze bottle 60% water 40% tokonole is the ratio that worked for me. I initially wondered why you didn't just rivet both ends (didn't look at the thumbnail) and so glad you didn't. Looks a lot more premium with the stitching. A really nice keyfob.

Mate I have a suggestion for you.. When you use the pricking irons, punch using pricking irons on both the sides.. Meaning - punch on one side then flip the layer and punch in the same holes again using pricking irons. This creates equal sized holes on both sides and hence perfect diagonal stitches. Otherwise you get small stitch on one side and a bigger one on the other side. Keep up the great work. Cheers!

@BJayV first of all thanks for visiting our channel, answering your comment: I get the leather in tandy leather, in some of the videos leave the links, some colleagues use leather from large tanneries, I suggest starting in tandy, hobby lobby has a small section to of leather goods, sometimes I buy accessories there, once you dominate some techniques you can go up to the next level and use pro level tools! I made the pattern by hand, I'll try to make the pdf and put the link so you can download it, I'll let you know when it's available, best regards bro!

If you are dealing with Tandy Leather, I strongly recommend having a look at the Japanese pricking irons. Not the M series ones, just the "basic" ones. They are MUCH nicer to use!!!

I always prefer to use natural veg-leather, 3-4 oZ, when you start in leather goods, it is advisable to buy natural leather without color and start experimenting with colors so you can have more color options in your projects, I recommend the pro Dye of fiebings, I will try to make a video, dyeing a leather. greetings ✌🏼

thanks for commenting on my video brother, regarding your comment, honestly I don't like burning the ends of the thread, I think it doesn't look professional, (personally.) I have seen some videos that burn it, others that hide it like me with glue, I prefer to hide it, my thread is not synthetic, it is hemp thread, the glue I use is water-based and rubber is very very resistant I don't think those threads will come out, at least in about 10 years hehe. Not got to that point yet but generally if its polyester you melt it, if its linen you glue. Nothing to do with being more secure as both methods are just tidying up the loose thread. Hope that helps.

@@Oldcoyoteleathergoods I must agree that tucking and gluing does look neater, I always (where possible) try to finish my stitching to come out between two layers of leather after back stitching. As you say it all comes down to personal preference, as does a lot in this craft (burnishing is a whole debate to itself 😅). I actually noticed that Donald had asked this question twice and you had responded on his other comment! Anyway I will definitely keep checking out your videos.
