Mildred gets my deepest sympathy being married to George Roper! he only has one braincell 🙈I would divorce him immediately! he's definitely the definition of " the old dense ball and chain" 😂

I love these old time shows because the actors/actresses were funny and I love Jackie Gleason. He was such a comedian. His shows and movies were so hilarious especially when he played the sheriff in Smokey and The Bandit with Burt Reynolds. Tv shows today don't hold a candle to these old time shows. <3

Regarding the words added by the video producer "Jackie Gleason did not rehearse." Per ChatGPT: Gleason's confidence in his comedic genius, combined with his remarkable memory, allowed him to deliver exceptional performances with little to no rehearsal-something quite rare in the entertainment world!

@in2movies unfortunately yes. I'm a Honeymooners fan for over 45 years I've seen every episode including the Lost Ones on DVD and some KZbin I own one of the Lost episodes called "Stand in for murder". The same episode on part 17 has a complete different ending I couldn't believe it ,the different ending was hysterical first time I've ever seen it. Glad I experienced that even if I can't watch it again

2:06:25 Halsey Street is near Chauncey Street where Gleason grew up and where the Kramdens live. I wonder if Halsey Theatre was a real place.

Still trying to find the episode where Ralph belts Alice after a night of drinking and gets arrested for domestice violence. Later she bails him out of jail just so she can bust his head with frying pan. Then they kiss and make up at the hospital......It was funny, violent and corny at once....typical of the show.

George & Mildred was embarrassing drivel in the late '70s and giving it almost 50 more years to mature has done nothing to change that. The class-based humour has aged it even worse.
