I appreciate your video . I would love to know clearly what is the range you got on the highway how many miles were you able to travel on a full charge in the winter? I am in southern New Mexico and thinking of buying a used Niro EV . I want to be able to go to stores for essential supplies 77 mi away Round trip. And do it without charging. Winter temps around here in Southern New MexicoCan be 40° sometimes mostly it's warmer in the afternoon 50 or 60 and colder in the morning at 30. And the highway speed here is usually about 70 mph to 80 mph.

@@jesp999 Ours is a 2019, we have had it now for five years and driven 35,000 miles. We bought it after I watched a KZbin video made in England comparing the Kona and the Niro EVs and at that time the Niro was a little bigger than the Kona. I think now they are the same size. Our normal grocery store run is a total of 80 miles round trip. In the summer we do about two of those trips and then we plug it in to our level 2 charger. In the winter for high speed driving (75mph) we will get 3.1 miles per kilowatt hour, so you can go about 180 miles if you start with a full charge. Of course you will seldom charge it to 100% and you will never want to drive it to 0% (although we did once and arrived at the house in turtle mode). I think a Niro EV could be an excellent used car to buy. We have never had any problems with ours. You would want to have at least level 1 charging where you live or work. There is a whole laundry list of features that are available on newer models like the Kia EV9, but they are more expensive and less efficient. The newer Niros have some improved features as well.

@@jimjoh9376 The way I do it is with a piece of 1/4 inch inside diameter fuel hose (2 to 3 feel long). Turn off the fuel shutoff valve. Detach the existing line, attach the new piece of hose (I do not use a clamp on the temporary hose) and stick it into the empty gas can. Turn on the fuel shutoff valve. It takes a couple of hours to drain. Reconnect the original line. Then put about a cup of gasoline back in the tank and run the generator until it runs out of fuel. You want all of the gasoline out of the system for storage.

Takes about 20 minutes to fill a yard waste bin, depending on how big the stuff you're chipping is and how well you have pre-positioned it. How deep can we use this pump to pull water? As per the spec, inlet head is around 168 feet, will that lift water from 168'?
@gregpalmer9949
@gregpalmer9949 11 ай бұрын
I just re scanned two of the manuals. The pump according to the manual has a combined lift and push distance of 115. Water pumps can push water up a lot further than they can lift (suck). The Harbor Freight manual only gives a combined number, but a “Shallow” well limit might be 30 feet in depth. Perhaps some one else knows. I have a well that is 150 deep and it has a submersible pump. The pump is down near the bottom of the well. It does not suck at all, but pumps up (lift) several hundred feet. A further caution: the 115 feet of lift for the shallow well pump is the point where flow and pressure have dropped to zero. On my installation in the video, the pump sucks about 10 feet and pumps up about 80 feet for a combined lift of 90 feet.

@gregpalmer9949

Just a response. If it is fairly flat then no problem. At our place we pump about eighty feet up and four hundred feet over to get to the top of our drip irrigation lines. We are pumping through 3/4 and 5/8 garden hoses. The height, the distance and the diameter of the water lines are all factors. You can increase the flow rate by using 1” or larger flexible water lines. However, If you are going up vertically beyond the capacity of a pump then you will need to have a storage tank that you pump to and then from. The pumps are rated for how high they will pump, be aware that the limit by height usually only has a trickle of water.

It has a pressure switch. When the main on/off switch is on it will pump until the pressure gets to about 50 pounds and then shut off. As you use water the pressure decreases until you get to about 35 pounds and then the pump turns on again. If you run out of water or the pump loses its prime the pump will keep trying anyway which is not good for it, but does not ruin the pump the first time it happens.
