This is a very good tutorial video, the Lats activation really helps to find the vertical lift, Mercii :)

I have never realised that the work is on the upper back. Will be trying the shift in class tomorrow. Thank you for the instructors, namaste.

Glad I re-watched, surprised then that teachers don’t say “shift your weight onto your shoulders, slightly curve your shoulders into the floor” after they say “put your hands under your hips”

And thank you for demonstrating that locking the knee isn’t the same as that weird c curve collapse that passes for a locked knee either. That thing freaked me out for months and I would never do it. But your knee lock looks and sounds solid.

Insanely observant and insanely good teacher & physical demonstrator. Not many can be excellent, then convey that in words, physical demonstration, and provide typical mistakes and correct them. I have big toe lifting issues he’s talking about, and my hands are so sweaty they’re constantly unlocking.

Namaste, beautiful posture and I really loved seeing you do it without holding the foot at the very end. Now that was inspiring!😊❤

You're a good yoga teacher. I'm a bikram girl, goes to yoga class 3-4x a week. I'm always open, seeing how others do their postures, for improvement. I learned from this video.

Hi Joe! I hope all is well I had a quick question about this posture: When and why do you lift the chin and put more of your neck on the ground once reaching a certain point. I find when I let my neck out I can lift further. Thanks!
