This is such a helpful instruction video. I was that student who held my foot for 3 years. Today I finally felt ready to kick my leg out!

I have always had trouble with the grip. It is hard to get all my fingers under the ball of the foot. Then I read in "Bikram's Beginning Yoga CLass" on page 46: "interlacing fingers firmly under your foot, about one inch from the base of the toes, with thumbs on top of thet oes." Having the thumbs on top makes it much easier and I hope that this an acceptable way of holding the gip. Do you think this is okay?

Thank you for motivation! Perhaps, can you record a 90-minutes class? So that we can practice at home.

I had the great fortune to attend your workshop in Ann Arbor, Michigan serveral years ago. You are inspiring, informative, and engaging. I think you possess a set of unique skills that expresses your talents, gifts, and passion for yoga. I think one reason you were put on Earth was to teach this yoga and benefit humans who seek this knowledge. Thanks for sharing and understanding the needs of the Bikram Yoga community. This is long over due. I have been seeking your channel for many years. It has finally arrived, thanks. There is a need for an in-depth explanation and demonstration for each posture for educational purposes. You bring an expertise, credentials, experience, knowledge, and a fluid ability to communicate effectively. I have been practicing for ten years and I need to learn the finer points in order to advance. The details you provide are a tremendous help and I have benefited greatly. I think there is a large audience waiting and seeking this type of instruction worldwide. I encourage you to create a video for each posture and provide us with the depth of your knowledge. The impact you will have on the practice of Bikram Yoga and yoga in general will be profound. Thanks, Ali Turfe

Insanely observant and insanely good teacher & physical demonstrator. Not many can be excellent, then convey that in words, physical demonstration, and provide typical mistakes and correct them. I have big toe lifting issues he’s talking about, and my hands are so sweaty they’re constantly unlocking.

Like some people say, this posture can change your life. I still do not know why, apart from Bikram, it is not taught, for instance, by Iyengar or other mediatic yogis.

And thank you for demonstrating that locking the knee isn’t the same as that weird c curve collapse that passes for a locked knee either. That thing freaked me out for months and I would never do it. But your knee lock looks and sounds solid.

It is a non sense to say it is a posture for beginners. Bikram took the risk of inserting it in a series for all skill levels, but very few people master it at a minimum level. The big majority pretends to.Thank you for such a quality of teaching, Bikram should have take as his first deputy :)

You're a gerat teacher! I've only been doing bikram yoga or yoga at all for about a month. when I do this I got up to the part of kicking out the foot and can hold it fora few seconds, i feel like I'm tearing the skin on the bottom of my foot apart. is that normal?

Please record a 90 minute Bikram class!! I was lucky enough to attend one of your classes and demonstrations when you were visiting the Bikram Dallas studio several years ago. I've moved to a little city that has no Bikram studio and the closest ones are at least 2 hours away, so I am doing Bikram at home, currently in the middle of a 30 day challenge. Please, please, please do a 60 and 90 min Bikram class for those of us that can't be in a studio. Your story is so inspiring. Namaste

You're a good yoga teacher. I'm a bikram girl, goes to yoga class 3-4x a week. I'm always open, seeing how others do their postures, for improvement. I learned from this video.
