so cool! thank you for the tips! i think i will try to make this top. can i make it without twisting the sleeves? just leaving them aa they are 😊

yes I would then make the straps 1-2 cm shorter because when twisting the straps it takes away a bit of length :)

Your tutorials are so good! No assumption that we know what step should be done. I appreciate you telling us when we need to iron or press and being so thorough. Makes sewing so much more approachable

Ist the front part of the Leo dress and the Josephine dress the same? :)

How about the fabric and general fit of the dress, I have now made two sets of the Leo dress. One in S and one in M size and I do have a difficulty of getting it over my shoulders when I put it on. One on the M size fits perfectly, I used a 100% cotton fabric so i guess that is one fault there because there is no streach to the fabric.

It's very important that you cut your dress on bias, because when cutting fabric on bias it will automatically get a stretch to it, if you just cut it following the grain line it is super hard putting it on (unless you want to sew in a zipper)

Me encanta!! Sólo un pequeño truco para cuando colocas la cremallera: cuando vayas a cerrarla cuando la estás cosiendo prueba a dejar clavada la aguja y a levantar el prensatelas y el cierre pasa por debajo sin problema.

I'm confused by the strap part of the pattern. The arrow on the pattern is indicating that it should be cut on the bias but in this video you cut yours on the lengthwise grain. What's the right thing to do?

This is a gorgeous piece, I purchased this and I can’t wait to start sewing, just need to buy some linen fabric. I wonder if the pattern would work for a jumpsuit, if you ever decide to make it into a play/jump suit I’m definitely buying the pattern. Love your creativity and channel . 😍

Loved this free tutorial, thankyou! Just wondering again what settings the machine should be on for the stitching to create the gathering? I have a different machine so I'm assuming my numbering may be different? Is the aim to create a longer looser stitch? Thankyouu!! 🥰

keep it on a straight stitch and set the stitch length to as high as possible so the stitch becomes as long as possible

What kind of material would you recommend for this top
@Sewingwithsolana
@Sewingwithsolana 24 күн бұрын
I used 100% linen with a weight of 200 g/m2, you can also use a linen and viscose blend or 100% viscose or double gauze cotton. There’s heaps of different fabrics you can use, just make sure your fabric has no stretch to it

Oh noooo :( Its like one week too late :( I am sewing the Josephine dress as a long dress and I just elongated the dress, I didn't widen it :( I already cut the fabric😢 I didn't start to sew yet, can I do anything about it? I dont have enough fabric to cut it out again...

We already talked on IG but I'll reply here too in case someone made the same mistake... I would recommend adding a long slit on the the of the dress, or maybe even on both sides. This will give you more space for leg movement again :)
