I've noticed Asian market has some Casio models of smaller size which I prefer to much bigger European models. Maybe it's just me but not everyone outside Asia has monster hands to wear those huge timekeeping blobs.

@event4216Сағат бұрын
I guess he mentioned one can buy from Japan models not available in EU or USA. Like some Atomic/Solar models e.g. some WaveCeptors or Lineages. Or Oceanus. Does Bucharest store has Oceanus lineup so you can go, try and not mind paying more for this extremely useful convenience?

I have one and i like the design but its let down by the module. It deserves a better bracelet too.. Its like Casio did a half hearted attempt. Collectors are prepared to pay more for quality. If SKXmods can do decent upgrades for same sort of money Casio itself can do far better. I like vintage design but i want it just done better.

Appreciate your insight on this, i couldn't agree more with you. It's becoming harder to find honest reviews on watches these days that come from pure passion, everyday use and just personal experience rather than a garuntee of views because it's the latest product.... I think it's an impossible battle for reviewers sometimes though which makes me appreciate channels like yours. Keep it up👍

IF i want to change the strap, the size would be 18mm right?
@HeartFeltGesture2 күн бұрын
I have a 6.5 inch wrist, before I knew much about watches I bought the 43mm version. I rocked it for a bit, but then felt self-conscious, it was huge and felt more like a clock than a watch. It makes sense for a proper Diver watch to be big for reading it under water, but how many people are actually diving? Its the aesthetic people like. And of course there are men with large wrists and the 43mm watch will be proportionate for them of course. But I am very happy to hear about the 36mm version and will purchase one soon.

I’m on the market and maybe somebody could help me. I’m looking for some digital quartz watch which can tell me the sunrise-sunset, 24h timer and is solar, max 45mm size. Does anyone have any recommendations? This is the closest i have found. Thank you

My main suggestion is to take your time and buy what you like to wear instead of buying what other people recommend that you wear. Also, just an opinion, I wouldn't do the "value for money" approach, because you'll also end up with a lot of watches you may or may not care about. Instead responsibly save for and buy the one or two watches, to start, that you are going to use every single day. That's just my opinion.

Another great video, and the watch looks ace on you. I think gunmetal is the most versatile shade Casio offers on their metal watches for precisely the reasons you mentioned. Perfect balance of smart and casual, discreet and noticeable. I like how it sits against my skin tone too. Absolutely love my gunmetal A168. I live in hope Casio will do the A700 in the same shade one day...

My upper limit has never been particularly high (the most I've ever spent on a single timepiece was $369 for a Seiko SRPG59 Save the Ocean). But after many years of collecting watches and continuously cycling through them, I've been drawn back to more inexpensive watches, especially Casio. Not that I don't make the occasional more expensive purchase (including recently acquiring the Citizen Promaster United with Blue Limited Edition), but I picked up four Casios and one Armitron Griffy LED over the last few months for about $115 plus tax, and they are all interesting and fun in their own way. That's an incredible value/fun quotient!
@thissmallwrist6 күн бұрын
Interesting how you've swung back to cheaper watches, which don't necessarily mean cheaply made. I suppose I'll swing all over the Casio lineup as I continue to collect.
@Musashi4133 күн бұрын
@@thissmallwrist I suppose that while more expensive timepieces give me joy and satisfaction for their design, better materials and levels of finishing, I've rediscovered the joy and satisfaction I get from timepieces that speak to me emotionally for whatever quirky or silly reason. The Armitron Griffy and Casio A168 take me back to my childhood, and my fascination with the then-brand new technologies featured in these watches, while the Casio LF-20W-8ACF and MWD-110H-1AV could be props in my favorite '70's and '80's sci-fi TV shows and movies. I'm reminded of why I got into this hobby in the first place: that looks cool and fun! Plus, when you can pick up a Casio for less than a dinner out at your local dive bar, and the battery will last anywhere from 3 to 10 years, that's an unbeatable value proposition right there!

I LOVE huge watches. That is one of the reasons why I bought G-Shock Mudmaster GG 1000 Olive Green. My only issue with it is that it runs on battery and doesn't have tough solar, or even a normal solar. I LOVE the feature set on this Pro-Trek but the absence of a traditional analogue dial is kind of a deal breaker for me 😅

Normally you would start with casios. Then move to automatic and mechanical watches under influence from bloggers. Then you realize mechanical/automatic is not your thing. So you go back to quartz , solar, etc. My recommendation? Be very very selective. Otherwise you'll end up with a lot of watches you don't use or enjoy having.
@thissmallwrist6 күн бұрын
Great suggestion. I've tried automatics and just not my thing.
@angelo895 күн бұрын
Wow, thanks for saying this! I think this is my situation right now. I’m wanting to get the Seiko Star Bar - very nice dial. But can’t get my head around automatic watches and using winder or wearing them everyday so as not to run out with power.

You are not mentioning the most important criteria: AM I GOING TO FCKN WEAR IT??? I have the most recent F 91 WB 8AEF and plan to buy 1 Lineage, 2 G-Shocks, Protrack, and an AE 1500. The rest of the collection of my watches will be other brands. Normal men`s collection should not have more than 12-15 watches because if you are wearing a watch less than 1 month per year, you are not wearing it. It can also be on the shelf in a shop, like it is in your drawer.

Casio’s are the best. I love all mine, nearly have a 12 Slot Watch Box full. Edifice’s are currently my favorite, would love to add an Oceanus or two eventually. Casio’s To Cartier is the goal. 🤙🏼

i have almost 20 casio watches , all diferent (casio vintage , cheap digitals , ana-digital , divers , edifice , oceanus non-solar old model , g-schock) ) I'm afraid to buy pro trek and lineage (maybe i have luck and find old non-solar lineage) because they are solar and I don't have enough light, having so many I rarely wear them, because I also have other brands and I don't know how the solar would behave if not worn

This is a kind of video for everyone who has bought his first watch. I understand collecting isn't about being economical or having rational reasoning. I even believe there's no real need to wear every watch in a collection. In my book collection is a set of things built after certain rules, not a bunch of random examples. That could be all-digital-Casios or chronographs-only or one-watch-from-every-Casio-subbrand. And few watches to wear daily, like I have cheap Skmei for miserable situations with sweating and such, solar for daily use and diver Casio for a day out. All that matters is how much fun it is.
