I own the A1000 and i can really recommend it. Its a stunning watch especially when you roll your wrist and the light hits all of the edges and polished bits

Wish you luck with your list of 2025! As I see it, I'd go for Oceanus even if it's little too big, little too expensive. That's a nice watch for many occasions! Your Lineage model has a nice smooth chapter ring and I kinda like it better than models with dimples on it. M700D also has a smooth chapter ring so it depends whether you like busy dial and slow interface - Oceanus have an app link for a reason, I guess. It's not a big fun to access functions waiting while small dials reposition hands. And those 4 buttons are...either love or hate. I considered another Lineage model but at the end they all are about same....solar watch is just seeming like an easier choice. Regular watch when not used you just put away in a box and there it sits tidy and safely. Solar watch not in use has to be either kept around to keep it charging or remember to take it out of box and charge up before battery gets low in charge. I've no experience specifically with solar watches but my guess is those things don't get better with occasional use. That's my rationale to not get too involved with many solar watches - but it depends whether you have a nice dust-free place for watches to sit and sip light.

Glad to know that you make purchases based on a wishlist ! I had no such wishlist and ended up with 70 Casios in 2024 !! I trek frequently and I don’t really feel the use of Protreks. I use PRW-35 (and SGW 12:25 -400 which is not a Protrek) just for altitude. I wish Protreks had step counter too. Now, coming to PRJ-001, why do you think this is called a Protrek without triple sensors ? What do you think a trekker can use it for ? The ‘white mountaineering’ version was available here in India for about $120 and I came close to pulling trigger on it before I realized that it doesn’t have any features that I can use for trekking !

I have the A1000 on the mesh bracelet and it's stunning. Also, I own a GBM2100 metal with green dial and negative display and I think legibility is enough for what it is. You aren't reading emails on the display. You also have the light to help in any environment. So I would advise to go for negative display if you like the watch itself, especially as it's not the main way of telling time and it's only secondary info. (Seconds and day maybe)

I've owned ever watch on your list. The best one is the gst-b600. Great size but something about it didn't totally groove with me. The best Casio watch i've ever tried is the Casiotron TRN50. It feels like digital luxury without giving that 'totally radical dude' 80's style. TRN50s can be had used at around $350 if you look hard. I'd go that route. I could have saved a ton of money if i knew then what i know now. ALSO, You rock that mq-24 so well, who needs another watch? Get a back up for one to trash and one to stash.

I recently tried G-Shock GST-B600 with steel bracelet. It wears surprisingly good on my 5.7 inches wrist, surely you can pull it off. Must be the only G-Steel that's wearable for me 😂

Hey bro I bought G-SHOCK GST-B600 on the steel bracelet. Love the watch on my 6.75in wrist, highly recommended. I want to try it on a rubber strap, but I didn’t like the purple dial or the red text on the two rubber strap options🤷♂️ Good luck with 2025 🎉

Why haven't they released the GST-B600 in America?

I love my A1000. SKXmod has a decent replacement bracelet with solid links for it

That’s an excellent idea. I have full kits for an A168 and a F105W from SKXMOD. But I didn’t think about putting their bracelet on A1000. 👍🏼

@ their kits remove the Casio logo sadly. A1000+ their band gives you the full deal

@ Yes. That’s the only thing that sucks about it. Although their new “retro” faceplates give you a very close look. I also have a AE1200 kit and you can use the original Casio faceplate with those kits. 👍🏼

Are you sure the Casio Lineage isn't available in the US? I just saw the LCW-M170TD on Amazon. I have one and I just love it.

I have the bungie PRJ and I like it but the 'glass' is quite flimsy feeling. I don't regret buying it. I like the PRJ-B001-5JF and may import one. I wanted to reward Casio for the uniqueness of the bungie arrangement.

That cord was interesting. I want them to put the cord on a watch with a positive display

If you are going to Japan, have you considered the Lineage LIW-120 JDM series? They are pretty nice watches for the price: 38mm, full stainless steel, easily adjustable bracelet, tough solar, waveceptor (works in Japan only - the biggest downside) and mineral crystal. I bought the white one at a DCM store for 9900 yen (around 62 USD) but they usually sell for 15k

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to check it out in person. Doesn't really interest me from the online pictures, but I'm sure it looks better in person.

I’ve almost pulled the trigger on that GST-B600 so many times lol. Just can’t do it. Not having metal lugs is a deal breaker for me. Probably going to get an ultramod kit from skxmods and put my own gab2100 in there.

It's a nice watch. Probably the last G-Shock I'll buy since I've moved on after picking up a few.

I never hear more about gender norms than from watch guys, I get it but I hope we all just wear what we like, so tired of its to big for my wrist, it's too small, it's for women
