My Arnt working and just ruined my drawing whenever I try to use water to blend or spread out color the brush loses all color and I have to shake it for like 5 minute’s and then it blends and I use it again and add water and it doesn’t blend idk if it’s a bootleg because it only says gen crafts on the pens but they suck

Hey Barbra , I wanted to let you know you inspired me to draw and cut around 120 - 8x10 " stencils of leaves ...I work with heavy acrylic ..and a small thick foam roller..I had hoped they may one day be appreciated by school kids .

Thank you for sharing your opinion and review on these markers. I also love Tombow markers except for the fact that the labels on each marker can get scratched off. I personally bought the Crayola Brush Dual-tip because they have the color description on them and you can't scratch it off. I have not bought the Tombow Twin Tone, the Crayola Super Tips, or any of the other markers you shared. However any information about the markers or your personal outlook on them. I will take it. I'm very new to what all these markers have to offer. I have done color-by-number but there was not any blending involved. So thank you so very much. Happy Crafting for Phoenix, AZ. ❤️🤗

Excellent review, very helpful. Regarding the funny name of the Cerulean (Sky Blue), here's some trivia. It's not actually that odd a name for Cerulean. The word Cerulean comes from a Greek word meaning "the sky" or "the heavens." So Cerulean Blue literally means Sky Blue.

@thehomegrownartist214 3 ай бұрын
Thanks ☺️. Yes, Cerulean is often used for skies in watercolor paintings. It’s just strange (to me) that they wouldn’t call it Cerulean blue like most professional brands. Thanks for the Trivia :) happy painting!

Thank you for posting this long video , it helps me face my own challenges and know that other people makes mistakes just like I do when I paint. I like how this is shown to audience so that we have a realistic view of what to expect in our artistic journey. It takes effort and time and dedication to succeed in painting.

About Indigo which looks more like 'grey'..I know that one of their pigment PB27 (Prussian blue) has a tendancy to shift color and becomes 'grey' until you move it to a darker place..So it's actually temporarily lightfast or fading. Could this be a reason?
@thehomegrownartist214
@thehomegrownartist214 4 ай бұрын
Yes Prussian blue is not very light fast. I think a lot of people are starting to move away from that pigment these days.

I have the same box and with identical numbers but you are not calling out the numbers given in the box. For example 61 is not corn flower blue - the box calls it Ultramarine Pale. And 46 is Burnt Sienna - you say it reminds of this - but that’s what the box calls it. We do have indenting boxes, 24 sets, and same numbers. I’m confused.

Possibly you have a newer version? I’m not sure as I don’t have them anymore. I was just reading the names and numbers on my box. Sorry for any confusion

Yes of course. But with oil paints it’s less necessary as there are more opaque paints. It just depends on how you want to paint:)

There are two sets of White Nights with 36 colors: This one in the lavender box and White Nights-36. I have just received this one, so I'm really glad you did this video. Thank you. My understanding of these two sets is that the -35 set is non-granulating for those who are traditional and glaze (botanicals), and -36 is granulating for those who are modern (loose) and prefer to paint more alla prima. I would like to know where you got the page you swatched these colors on. I wish someone would sell pages like this. Perhaps a packet of 10. One packet cold press. Another packet hot press. And another packet mixed. This would be very welcome. Also, I would like to request a video on sketchbooks. Everyone does paints, brushes, and paper, but I've yet to find a review of different sketchbooks and the type and quality of paper used. They used to have sketchbooks that were hardbound with a pebble textured cover and white sketchpaper within, but I can't seem to find them anymore. I was wondering if they are no longer being manufactured, idk? Excellent and very timely video. Thanks again for doing this for us. :)

Hi! So unfortunately I can’t do a comparison video for you as I am currently in South East Asia and all my stuff is in America. I’m trying to figure out how to start recording again. I’m glad you figured out the white knights stuff. They make a lot of different pallets but you are right about the 35 and 36 one. I personally like the granulating one but it all depends on what and how you paint. The page I got to swatch the colors on came from an art Store in South Korea called Homi Art Supply. I don’t think they ship internationally. And I sometimes make them myself when I have a lot of different papers. I’m pretty sure Jackson’s Art Supply from the UK sells mixed packs of paper if you’d like to check that out. It’s been a while since I ordered but they used to. Sketchbooks are definitely a personal preference. I prefer to have 100% cotton paper so that the paint works the same as on my regular painting paper but they are expensive and hard to find. They are out though, like the Etcher Lab one. However, I do like the Strathmore hard bound 400/500 series sketchbook. It’s decent for the price. But not great for glazes. So I think you’ll have to try a few to see what fits your preference. Hope you can find something you like. Happy Painting:)
