I feel like I'm walking into a Shakespeare play when I listen to this great band. The Moodies were just amazing! Apart from the Beatles, the Moody Blues were the most talented group of the British Invasion in my humble opinion. C'mon, who incorporated classical music & then kicks right into a rock song??? Everyone gives credit to Procul Harum, but these guys were the pioneers of the concept album even before the Fab Four did it on the Abbey Road album in 1969.

I was lonely then , and I'm lonely now, fifty years later. Lonely, especially for Mary, whom, in all likelihood, I will never ever see again. It makes me so sad I just want to cry.

Haywards voice was powerful and beautiful, but Pinder also had a very good singing voice. Of course, his mellotron playing was transcendental.

One of my all-time favorite Moody songs. In 1973 and 74 my long-haired hippie boyfriend would play these albums for me. Especially this song was one of our favorites. We were very well matched. He was a psychology student earning his first degree of many. I was a beautiful hippie girl from California, and we would sit on the rug in his mother's living room in the dark, and we would talk and get to know one another. He would always give me his undivided attention, and listen to me. Tell him of California, and my free school, and Yosemite. And I hinted at the UFOs I saw. How I wish I could go back. He thought I was the best thing in the whole world. I wish I could go back in time. I would have the two men that loved me most my father and him.

69 years young , the Moodys music still stirs the hell out of me…better times back in the day with pure music, this modern world has no idea of what we experienced when the music of the day was at its best……nostalgic Kiwi

I was a teenager in highschool when one of my friends in our group suggested going to Moody Blues concert. We were used to van halen, ac/dc, scorpions, def leopard etc. What a contrast. Really glad we got to see them live. I'll never forget it.
