...in another not so related topic, ive noticed and seen video of when WOKE people get confronted, its a yelling match (google it)...its not as a whole, but it reminds me of gay rights movement...(if youre not with us, youre wrong)...but ive seen wokes get very belligerent even when its just a word or two or a glance...its quite stigmatic...

Thank you so much for your video , I appreciate it that you share the facts and the truth ; especially since project 2025 which is trumps agenda literally called a mandate for leadership which is why he says it and then on his twitter platform he pushes propaganda trying to tell their homophobic audience that the word has to do with sexuality or lgtbq which it doesn’t have anything to do with gender or sexuality, it’s exactly how she explained it and in the 1930’s at the peek of racial injustices in the past it was used, when black Wall Street was bombed by the USA military they used the word woke . Education is everything , the training video for project 2025 staff members literally quoted Stalin and said he who controls the language controls the world , while literally speaking about their own propaganda about the word woke and how it appears thousands of times in the project 2025 handbook. The only people that are empathetic about others feelings and injustices are literally the ones that are woke. And yet they’re attacked and demonized and since people live in echo chambers and algorithms they reinforce this ignorant ideology and mental health issues with reclusive personality disorders. #staywoke

In Georgian, 'Grandma' is ბებო (Bebo), which is a warm and affectionate word used to express our love towards them. We also have a more tender form, ბებიკო (Bebiko). It is comparable to the way English speakers might say "Granny" or "Nanny." Additionally, there is another term, დიდედა (Dideda), which can be understood as 'mother's mother,' 'big mother,' or 'great mother,' since დედა (Deda) means 'mother," which further elevates the respect and admiration for the maternal lineage. The most commonly used form is BEBO. P.S. Your videos are consistently beautiful, and I have the utmost admiration and respect for you-not only for your talent as a writer but also for your unwavering dedication as a women's activist. Thank you for being who you are, for gracing us with your presence, and for inspiring us all simply by existing.

The same happened to the term "feminism" and many others. They have opposite connotations due to the backlash...

Why name democratic when well known polarising groups use it to shut up others! Being dumb and woke is very difficult. N it is known that with all information we are actually dumber. Woke is populist.

Misleading title!!!!! I already know what mansplaining is, but YOU DID NOT explain HOW to FIGHT IT!!!!!!!! I need strategies, not just another description and a million examples of it happening to you. What a frustrating video and it wasted my time in the midst of trying to deal with a boy constantly interrupting me and other women in class and I am twice his age! So being older and wiser has not earned me any respect in his eyes.

I've been looking at how people define woke and I have a little collection here. MentisWave An aggressive push for diversity/equity/inclusion, usually based on the belief that outcomes which lack these things are indicative of discrimination and/or unfair social treatment. ShortFatOtaku The ethics and processes of socialism, expanded beyond class struggle, to include race struggle, gender struggle, sexual struggle, and any other near-infinite number of marginalized groups as defined by Intersectionality. Tim Urban The view of society as a zero-sum, intersectional struggle between privileged identities and oppressed identities, with power being exerted through politics, economics, culture, institutions, language, morality, science, and basically anything else you can think of, and the suppression of rights is sometimes necessary to achieve justice. This is used as justification for mob violence. The major issue is this doesn't play nicely with other ideologies. Forcefully expansionist via social pressure. Andypants The forced, inorganic inclusion of certain token minorities and groups in order to score DEI and ESG points. I like Tim Urban's definition the best because he makes an effort to show the difference between liberalism and what he refers to woke as social justice fundamentalism, which might be the cause of confusion.

I am an 80 year old African American woman. This is what "woke" has meant to me throughout my lifetime: Woke in my opinion means being aware of how white supremacy has historically permeated & shaped American culture in almost every area of the American experience. Being woke for example means being aware that civilization did not begin in Greece, but goes back to Egypt on the African continent. Being woke means understanding the financially disadvantaged condition of black people resulted from slavery, Jim Crow, redlining and discrimination and not inherent intellectual inferiority. Being woke means realizing there was mass incarceration of black people during the War on Drugs. Being woke means knowing that black people were not living in trees and eating each other before the Atlantic Slave Trade, but had cities and societies as rich as any in Europe. IJS

Bullying eventually stopped at school when i finally snapped and almost put 2 of bullies in hospital. Never stopped from my dad, he still does it to this day. Ive overheard conversations he has with family friends when they ask how i am. He still says, "he is still a loser" And he wonders why i struggled with self esteem for so many years. 🙄

Amusing little titbit: the Turkish word for mansplaining is açüklemek. çük is the Turkish derogatory term for little wiener, little pr*ck. The ending -emek is just the Turkish infinitive. The Turkish word for "to explain" is açiklamak and is the base for this term. açüklemek is thus "little-wiener-splainining". My little contribution mansplaining mansplaining...

The impression that I get is that there are a group of influential people somewhere that are trying to have us believe that there are some things very common in our society that actually isn't true. For example almost every t.v ad, a lot of t.v programs as well as movies want to have us believe that that every white male has a black wife and brown kids? That men and women are so equally matched they can compete in sports against each other at the highest levels? I think this goes back to a study that came out in the late 70s that stated that the most privileged person to be in our society is a white male and the most under privileged person to be is a black female. (Black men and white women fell somewhere in between.) It seems that strong efforts are being made to turn that trend around? The trouble I think, is the hurry in which they want to get this happening has been cause for rebellion. Unfortunately it has been fought for under the guise of 'equality' which might explain how we have many influential and not so influential women referring to themselves as 'Queens, Divas or Boss ladies' in a passionate attempt to play down that stigma that was caused by that study. Meanwhile white men are bemoaning their equal right to say anything in their own defence as they find their own position being eroded away without being labeled a racist or bigot.
