Appreciate the list. We moved to Minnesota a few years ago from Oklahoma. The gardening is a bit different up here lol. There isn’t much for growing up here, so your content is very helpful. Starting no till this year. Very excited to see what happens!

careful with optical fiber guys. was talking to a telecom guy one time. he said if the bare glass fiber is bent too far and shatters it will make microscopic glass splinters. if it gets in the eyes its impossible to get out. the glass in optical fiber is different than fiberglass insulation or fiberglass resin cloth. Would love to run a fiber link to my cabin in the jungle. For now just using a sim card modem and wifi booster. Watching from Belize

You could have rented a vibratory plow that would have cut the ground and inserted the cable all at once. Also, it is not a surprise that the TPlink did not work. That is junk, and it is hacked.

Get a fusion splicer. Also you are using single mode fiber but using a multi mode light source. Curious on the optics used on the switch.
@arthurlorananderson8689Күн бұрын
It would be a good idea to keep extra afl quick connects, lc bulk heads, and a couple weatherproof inline splice cases on hand for the inevitable damage

You may not have a choice, but I don't like the design and layout of that stove.

What Mulch do you recommend to use in the garden from Gertens? I used straw/hay bail last year and I hated it because I was itchy.

This is very aesthetically pleasing. My compost bin is a 36 gallon garbage can with holes cut in it following plans from the Millennial Gardener. It works. Just not as pretty as yours though.

I really like the video...but for me the cable is sooo overkill....a single mode cable with a Good media converter would probably more than enough fo yall.

I had a horrible pepper year last year! I’ve tried growing the habanado two years in a row and haven’t had a bit of luck. I also have lots of blight to deal with and it even got on other crops besides tomatoes.

I feel you on the blight, that’s always a bummer!

Keep a 2" layer of ash in the firebox to prevent rust & warpage of grates. Unless that's where it gets fresh air from. A fresh air inlet pipe / duct would be a nice add-on. Otherwise, fresh air is sucked into fire from all the cracks & openings in shop. This newer thinner stove pipe crap rots so quickly. Try to find some welded tubing for future & move the damper up at least 18" from stove. Helps with draft when choked down for a slower burn. Add a ceiling fan high above the stove & a pedestal fan to blow across. Really makes a difference. Pallet wood is great to start a coal bed. Chainsaw chips are great for walk paths. Throw ash in garden & on soft spots in gravel driveway. It dries to an almost concrete texture.

i recomend you to Buy Unifi Dream Machine Pro or Pro Max, its one device but multiple function. Firewall, Router, Controller, NVR. next you can easy extend your network. and the plus one is that device license free you just buy you get it all (Without subcriber)

With the corrugation On the ceiling you could use heat and fire retardant calking to fill the gaps

Sketchy roof work in the snow. Hey I watched it.. I just made a thumbel and passed it right through my wall at about 8ft braced it to the wall . But probably would have passed through the roof, if it wasn’t already covered in snow : ) and still snowing for another couple months.

Bacillus thuringiensis. Predatory bacteria for all sorts of micro pests. In maine zone 4. I had to use umbrella 🌂 type clear plastic. Keeping the canopy dry can prevent pests. Open air umbrellas. Saved my fall from mold.

I'm totally with you on Amish paste tomatoes! I heard so much about them and tried for 3 years and they were just a disappointment. Never again. Ill have to try some of your faves! But this year I'm only spending time growing stuff I enjoy and we eat. I'm not doing much experimenting with "product" only with growing practices! Happy planting!
