People have no idea what they're missing out on, the fact that people don't understand how good chicken foot is and even liver and gizzards, is very much crazy. Not sure if many weren't poor enough to have had to eat those because they were no other options. I do see Americans and many other nations creating waste by not utilizing the entire chicken. Even the guts you'd use that to make either dog food or black or white pudding. I am happy to say I am from a nation where we did not let our meat go to waste. Thank you for making these videos to inform us on how to make these kinds of things.

It’s so true!! I hope that we can start turning the corner here. So much food is wasted

I put the bones and meat in high pressure canner with some water and can for 90+ mins til bones are soft and can mash with my fingers. Blend in the vitamin and can in pint jars only 2/3 filled label pet food. Could feed to cats,dogs or even chickens

I just had to put my 11 year old Doggo down before Christmas so it was lovely seeing your dogs enjoy their treats. I hope Roxy has a few years left xxx

I have been making bone broth for a number of years but will definitely try a few things from your video like letting the bones sit for an hour and skimming the scum. I have also always used regular vinegar but will definitely try apple cider. I usually cook it in an electric roaster and I cook for 24 plus hours. I do this as the bones disintegrate just by pressing the bones between my fingers. I then put the bones ( as long as then disintegrate) and any veg in a food processor and bone up. And freeze in silicone muffin tins for my dogs. I live in Thunder Bay just 1.5 hours north of grand Marais in Canada so love the northern content.

I recently found your channel and I love it. I didn't know you were a dietitian, but I so love learning about food and growing food, and cooking from scratch. Very glad I found this channel.

My dietitian recommended a better diet for me and suggested I make my own soup. Your Bone Broth is a great start, and so simple. I have canned before and will again. Now that we've got the broth can you sugest 2 or 3 vegetable soups that I can make? That would be great. Thanks.🥣

AG1, just like the Orgain protein power with superfoods they both have Alfalfa in them which I am allergic to. I've never tried them since I know I am allergic. Have any other suggestions, or are they actually safe to consume for someone that was tested allergic to Alfalfa?

How do you render the chicken fat from the broth into useable cooking fat?
@thehomesteadingrd5 күн бұрын
I have a mini crockpot that I transfer it to and let it go until it’s fully rendered and all of the water has evaporated iut
