What scope did you put on it? Curious about the scopes. You never mention them

There’s no con to the VP9 mag release. The major pro, and it is a huge one, is you can’t accidentally release the mag with a bad holster design or your belt. The Echelon’s twin MRs have a fairing behind them, but I still released the mag a couple of times when belt carrying. The Hellcat button accidentally released in belt and holster carry when I had the button on the right side. The VP paddles will not do any of that. I have both, and it’s a tie as far as shooting them. The sights are great, the shoot is soft, the triggers are great, the grips are great. The Echelon slide is better. The VP is exceptionally stout and will last forever. The Echelon trigger reset isn’t as strong as the VP, but I shot them side by side at 7 yds fast, and accuracy was awesome. The VP had a dot, the Echelon didn’t. I broke the dot the next day. I’m not replacing it. They’re both awesome guns. The recoil spring on the VP is stout, so the Echelon is a bit more fun to play with.

I have a palmetto State armory top tier AR-15 and there's nothing wrong with their guns. The only reason some of the products have flaws is because they get dinged their dent when being made or put on a shell for just whatever It's not that they don't make good quality guns. I can tell you this My AR-15 shoots accurate extremely accurate I have a sig Sauer Red Dot in a magnifying times 5. And I don't care who you are how many times you have shot a gun or never shot a gun You cannot miss with that gun. I'm not a good shot I'm not a terrible shot but I'm not very good but I can tell you this I don't care how far you put it I'm going to hit it right on the money within an inch let's be honest but it's something crazy. My girl who's now my fiance never shot a gun in her life she literally damn near went hole for hole and shoots better than me

The overwhelming thing that puts the CZ over the Kimber and the most important is reliability

My 6.5 Creedmoor was a hot mess. Would not cycle. Came with a AR15 buffer spring and standard 308 bolt. The finish on the bolt was flaking off. Primers were cratering. Case swipe. Installed a Tubbs flat wire buffer spring. That got it to cycle. Still mild cratering and case swipe. What really bothered me was when I put it on safe and squeezed the trigger. The pins moved a lot. Which indicates the holes are out of spec. Bought a 7.62x39. Which would not cycle as well. Installed a reduce power buffer spring. Problem solved. Sold both. They are affordable. And if you get a good one. That’s great. But for me. By the time I spent my time and money. Wasn’t a great deal.

Until Kimber proves their firearms are reliable long-term, which they really haven't done yet, I'll stick with CZ. Good video.....thanks.

the attachingpoint for the handle on my cz skorpian evo 3 broke off. they can't repair because of the serial number. so I've been debating between replacing it for $600 (discount from the factory) or spending a little bit more for an akv. I don't think I can trust cz again though.

Don't use the safety if you dont like it, no big deal. My Rossi saved me HUNDREDS of dollars allowing me to buy lots of ammo. Lighter, well built and cost less makes the Rossi a great choice. Today's Rossi's are built quite well so I see no need to feel it's an inferior gun.

My diamondback db15 black and gold edition FDE is one of my favorite ARs to shoot. I added a sig romeo 5 OPMOD, RA242 trigger, 5x flip magnifier, and Bleek War Hammer charging handle. Priced around $1100 few years ago and i got it around $986. Never had a problem.

Thank you for the review! Liked and subscribed. I am very happy that I didn’t purchase the Prodigy 4.25” port, it’s a lipstick on a pig! After a year and a half since the Prodigy was released and it’s still crap due to SF quality control! Who cares how flat it shoots if it’s not reliable??? I will stick with my Echelon comp, zero issues
@tonyevans14298 күн бұрын
I work at a gun shop as a smith. We have sold a ton of these. All the issues seem to be with the 5in version. They are not sprung right and for some reason Springfield hasn't addressed it. But I always recommend the 4.25 in every 9mm 2011 style handgun over the 5. The 5in in most brands seem to have issues eventually of some kind. Now the qc on the feed ramp in the video. There's no excuse for.

@ I have seen many small issues with the 4.25” and the 5” Prodigy that all about QC, loose optic plate,loose grip screws, FTE,FTF etc. NO gun with a price tag of $1,400 should have these issues! It’s been almost 2 years since SF released the Prodigy and they still haven’t fix the issues!
@tonyevans14298 күн бұрын
@@OBZ74 I didn't say the 4.25 never have any issues. Was just speaking from my experience. To what I generally have to work on. And what comes back/ into the shop. And in that experience. The 5 has way more issues then the 4.25. and it seems to be the case for most brands. Never said it was a good or bad handgun. But I get it you hate it!

Appreciate the input! I get that everybody wants champagne for a bud light price, and want it to be perfect. Many folks can’t grasp that a 1300 street price for a DS 1911/2011 makes it very much a budget tier pistol in this category so you’re not going to get the same QC as a Stacato, Bul, or Dan Wesson. Personally I had hoped this iteration would have seen far fewer QC issues from SF, but when you consider the price for performance, it’s likely still a good buy but to each their own. As I go back and forth between the two sizes and what price point I personally want to be at, it’s good to hear the positive and negative experiences from honest folks.

Im at 1k rounds through a 4.25 comp so far not a single issue with 4 stock mags. Although before I took it to the range I racked the ever living day lights outa it bcs the coating on the slide and rails was gunking up to the point you can feel it when you rack it and binding it and the black coating was coming out of the rear of the slide with the oil. It’s a fun and flat shooter for sure and it likes to run fast lol.

I’ve shot one and it’s not a bad pistol by any means but there are other pistols in this price range I personally prefer. The Kimber is a solid pistol though and to me it felt & shot pretty much just like an FN 509.

Own a Roni (short and long) and eventually the Roni warped moving sights off from the barrel (long) I chose the PSA AKv due to its versatility and ability to eat everything you feed it. People complain its heavy...if its too heavy..you are too old. (had to steal that from the its too loud crowd) but seriously...
