4 hours of pay you might as well get the hours in and there's many more reasons ,why people don't want to do there job I'm a class one driver ,22 years before the poles came in there thousands the job went down the kazi ,within a year pay and conditions were abysmal I worked ,for the agency adr before they came I had it sweet Sunday to Thursday between 800 to a grand a week ,for Tesco I did that for 18 yrs and I had a starting window ,not before 6 am and no later than 8 am ,before we knew it cos poles kiss arse style had to start at 3 to 4 am starts .

God the trucks today are a world of difference than the one I drove 40 odd years ago. It was an old British Leyland piece of junk. The headlights worked sometime, the wipers worked sometimes and the brakes were terrible, oh and it had an old crash box and no power steering. But you really knew you were in trouble when the boss would scream at you going out the gate not to get a puncture... :-)

In my experience the worst drivers are vauxhall owners who seem completely oblivious of other road users and they never use indicators. Vauxhall owners with Arnold Clarke stickers in the rear window are the most lethal hazard on the road.

you should try dfds roslare to dunkirk.... filty boats, shit food,horrible"gestapo" style staff from loaders,reception,bar and catering staff,,,,, 2-4 drivers in cabins🤢🤮,,, and if you refuse they have security to intervene and tell you to take truck off boat...... its a 30-40 years backword step,,,, 24 -34 hours of pure torture

So you rock up on the limit of your hours, then get turned away because Wayne the forklift driver has a dicky tummy and nobody else on shift is available to unload you. They will try and tip you in the morning, oh and you can't park in the yard. Had it all.

Yes agree. Tesla drivers seem some company directors and IT peopel living on 2 dimensions and no clue about 4 dimensions ( height, length, width, time/ movement), also they seem lost most of the time, as no map reading skill . I feel, the more screens and attention diversion, the more stupid drivers become as they disengage their brains.
