No, you shouldn't ever push your religion on anyone that does not want to be a part of it. I can't believe this is a serious question. You've chosen to live a life of faith. You don't get to make that choice for the rest of us. You believe sex outside of marriage is a sin, and it is your choice to believe in bronze age myths. However, you have NO RIGHT to impose that stupid nonsense on the rest of us! You're seriously pretentious for even asking this moronic question. And what kind of special snowflake is "tramatized" by words? Seriously? And people are looking to you for advice? What level of entitled, pampered privelege do you people live within?

I just have 1 question. Are you a Christian? You definitely got the point across that you are a Southern Baptist. You said Southern Baptist or SBC 43 times. 43 times!!! I counted every one of them. Is being a Southern Baptist more important than following Christ? Christ was never mentioned once.

1 John tells us that it is only when we obey God's laws that we can be quite sure that we really know Him. The man who claims to know God but does not obey His laws is not only a liar, but that he lives in self-delusion. In practice, the more a man learns to obey God's laws, the more truly and fully does he express his love for Him. Obedience is the test of whether we really live "in God" or not. The life of a man who professes to be living in God must bear the stamp of Christ. Obedience is the expression of love to God. Obedience means that we live in God. And if we live in Him, our lives bear the stamp of Christ. Our aim must be to know God. Our obedience is what leads to the fulfilment of this aim.

I don't think that's it. I don't think most people are condoning the Hamas. I get this issue is really complicated. But just look at the numbers, 1500 Israli people have died, vs 30,000 palistini people. The UN said it's endanger of a genocide happening, and the USA's support is on israli's side. I think it's more about raising awareness about the people on the side with less media coverage that are in danger of getting wiped out. It's not idealistic, these are the stats you can look up, and the UN's stance.

God deals more with man. Hence circumcision. Paul said; Though it be a man's covenant. All your high priests, priests, were men. A man offered up gifts to God. Now, in Christ, there is no male or female. But in this life, in the family, the man is the head. Even in church. Christ is the head of the body, the church. The church is the bride. Male and female. One spirit, in Christ. No. A woman cannot pastor.

Interesting that there are zero counter comments on this page - but then I suppose I should not expect anything different on Albert Mohler's own YoutTube channel. As a life-long Southern Baptist, I'm sad that the convention has chosen to die on this hill. The passage of this ammendment is going to be a terrible blow to the SBC's attempts to move forward with improving race relations. Many of the churches that will be expelled from the SBC as the result of this ammendment passing are predominantly African-American churches where the Pastor or Co-Pastor is a woman. I've seen the list that has been put together of the "offending" churches, and have looked at the distribution - and believe me, what I'm saying is the truth. It will be used by opponents of the faith to damage the witness of the SBC and of the churches which remain in it's affiliation. Believe me, the SBC doesn't need any more bad visibility. Now, I know that I will be pilloried here for making these comments, but you know - I don't answer to you, I answer to our Savior, Jesus - and I really doubt that he is happy about what you all are about to do to His church and it's witness. I find myself as a "man without a church" (remember the "man without a country" story) - I am sad for the continued divisiveness in the SBC, and I am not able to be comfortable associating with the CBF and it's positions. I'm glad that many SBC churches are ignoring these issues, and are focused on the Gospel - and winning people's hearts to Jesus. They don't care about politics or power that seems to be the focus of the leadership of the SBC and it's Seminaries.

You have a multitude of sins going on here. First, when you do not conform your beliefs to the clear teachings of the Bible, you are in sin. This "feel good" Gospel is the sin of not teaching the full counsel of God. God is love and God is holiness and righteousness all together. He is not just love. God hates sin no matter the size or type. Jesus said to even LOOK upon your neighbor with anger in your heart is sin. So, ALL have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. But, the true Christian acknowledges this and repents. The non-Christian can put on the label of Christian and be wallowing around in sin. Also, those that side with sin are guilty of the sin themselves Timothy 5:22"...do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure." Also, see Luke 13:3 and 13:5. The clear teaching of the Bible is women are to silent in the church. Once you have allowed women elders/et al or certainly women in the pulpit you have fallen into apostacy. Since these false teachers consider themselves "oppressed", they side with any and all sin as long as the sin/sinner is considered "oppressed".

There is a metaphor that aptly applies to the SBC and most SBC churches: fretting over what new carpet to put in the sanctuary while ignoring the foundation that's rotten to the core. So many of the SBC practices are fundamentally unBiblical at their core and have (and are) contributed greatly to the foundations being destroyed, e.g. age segregated Sunday Schools, youth groups, 4th Commandment abandonment, individual practices (birth control, entertainment choices, sending kids to public school, etc)...the list is long. A call to repentance by our pastors and those with social media platforms is critical or the list will, indeed, get longer.

New Covenant Whole Gospel: How many modern Christians cannot honestly answer the first three questions below? Who is now the King of Israel in John 1:49? Is the King of Israel now the Head of the Church, and are we His Body? Why did God allow the Romans to destroy the Old Covenant temple and the Old Covenant city, about 40 years after His Son fulfilled the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34 in blood at Calvary? What the modern Church needs is a New Covenant Revival (Heb. 9:10) in which members of various denominations are willing to re-examine everything they believe and see if it agrees with the Bible, instead of the traditions of men. We need to be like the Bereans. It will be a battle between our flesh and the Holy Spirit. It will not be easy. If you get mad and upset when someone challenges your man-made Bible doctrines, that is your flesh resisting the truth found in God's Word. Nobody can completely understand the Bible unless they understand the relationship between the Old Covenant given to Moses at Mount Sinai and the New Covenant fulfilled in blood at Calvary. What brings all local churches together into one Body under the blood of Christ? The answer is found below. Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him. He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth. Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by husband unto them, saith the LORD: Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? What did Paul say about Genesis 12:3 in Galatians 3:8, 3:16? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis? Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart. Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36) We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24. 1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. 1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. 1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The following verses prove the Holy Spirit is the master teacher for those now in the New Covenant. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Mar 1:8 I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Act 11:16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. 1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. A billion years of danger, and the earth, sun and moon are still intact and on course? A universe that makes its own rules, and it makes a rule that it can make a big bang and atoms in no time, and a rule in no time, and space in no time, but that it has to wait a billion years to make a bird? Time is more complicated than a bird, and it took no time for the universe to make time. So making a bird would be childsplay for the universe. It would take half the time it took for it to make time for it to make a bird.

Men in flying machines is amazing (my pal at an airshow yesterday said mind blowing). It's not natural. It is unlike the rest of nature and jungles and forests and rocks and animals and plants. It looks like a cartoon. It has a saint look to it, an angelic feel and appearance. Nature don't look like a cartoon. It looks like a train track. It's on course like dinosaur ribs. A dinosaur looks like a monster from a cartoon. You don't fall asleep all at once, you grow weary throughout the day and become less and less with us as time goes by, and go into an rem state, and then into other versions of sleep. So you are not fully awake all day as you're working and at work and home, and there are states, stages, of wakefulness and you are not awake all at once, but wake up more and more as the day gets going and carries on.

I have to say, Dr Mohler (whom I respect), answered this quite poorly. A woman may never be a pastor who is from the elder corps (1 Tim 3:2 says, in the Greek, an elder must be "a one-woman man"). So, women are obviously excluded. All pastors are teachers, but not all teachers are pastors. So, women may teach, but limited to teaching women (Tit 2:3-4), since they are prohibited from teaching men (in a church setting) - see 1 Tim 2:11-12. I know a few godly female Bible teachers who teach, but refuse to teach men. Although men and women are equal before God, both being image-bearers of God, with no issues of superiority or inferiority, God designed different roles for men and women (patently obvious in child bearing). This is even evident in the Triune Godhead, where we see Jesus (who is fully God and in no way inferior to God the Father), willingly submit Himself to the Father, as Jesus role was to die on the cross to purchase salvation for us (see 1 Cor 11:3).

A woman could only be given the authority by God to execute a man for his sin, if women are spiritually equal to men. A Judge could judge homicide cases according to Deuteronomy. Therefore Deborah, as a Judge, could execute a man for his sin. A Judge's verdict could not be altered or appealed. A Judge was REQUIRED in scripture to judge only the hardest of cases. Refusal to accept a Judge's verdict on any matter, resulted in execution, according to Deuteronomy. A Judge was cleared to teach from scripture as he/she gave a verdict, according to Deuteronomy. Since in Judges 4, men went to Deborah to be judged, a woman could teach men, even in the Old Covenant in a public setting. If your beliefs can't explain all this, they must be false.

Men and women are spiritually equal my friend. Next, Book of Judges is not normative and has no relation to the NT church. Women may teach, but may not teach men in a NT church setting. Outside of church they may. Think of Acts 18 concerning Aquila and Priscilla. An honest reading says even she corrected Apollos, but obviously in a non-church setting. My question to you is: Having read the easy-to-understand verses in my original post, what do you do with them? Where and how do they fit into your doctrine and practice? If you cannot, you are guilty of your accusation against me.
@user-iz8np3vv4i
@user-iz8np3vv4i 3 күн бұрын
@@wesselsmith172 (N.N. personal note) you wrote: Women may teach, but may not teach men in a NT church setting. I wrote a short free essay on Deborah where I look at her story AND what a Judge was. A Judge could teach from the Law, that is, scripture. So a woman, Deborah, was cleared to teach men at about 1100 B.C. I assume you understand that a 'church' is a group of Christians gathered together, inside OR outside a building. you wrote: ...what do you do with them? Paul's teachings are all over the place. He writes that if a man is saved and uncircumcised that he should not be circumcised, yet orders/instructs Timothy to be circumcised. Paul regarded himself as a 'father' and referred to Christian men as 'sons' multiple times. Yet none of his letters contain the qualifications to be a 'father'. Referring to oneself as a 'father' was strictly forbidden by Jesus. Paul orders an execution, even though he had no such authority to do so. (Not related to Stephen's.) Paul states that his version of the gospel is perfect, yet had no problem with unbelievers preaching. Apparently believing they would also preach a perfect gospel. Paul states he went to Arabia after his salvation experience, yet Acts states he did not. Essay outline on some of Paul's teachings can be posted, if requested. Example below. __________________________________________ Part 3 PAUL CONTRADICTS HIS OWN TEACHING ON TONGUES AND PROPHECY So then, tongues are for a sign, ..to unbelievers; ...and all the people speak in tongues, and ...unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are insane? ...but prophecy is not for unbelievers, but for those who believe. But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever ...enters...so he will fall on his face and worship God... In the Law it is written: “By men of strange tongues and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people, and even so they will not listen to Me,” says the Lord. So then, tongues are for a sign, not to those who believe but to unbelievers; but prophecy is not for unbelievers, but for those who believe. Therefore if the whole church gathers together and all the people speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are insane? But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all; the secrets of his heart are disclosed; and so he will fall on his face and worship God, declaring that God is certainly among you. -excerpt 1 Corinthians 14 NASB Paul states that "prophecy is not for unbelievers" but then states that prophesying will cause an unbeliever to "fall on his face and worship God".

The 72 year old never gave birth to children, but she had 2 step daughters in her life and “loved” them. Her stance isn’t exactly truthful, in my opinion.

She probably feels very sad that she decided not to have children and wished she would have. This is how she deals with it.
