Does it really have 6000a. ? By weight alone it seems false, Has anyone not sponsored bt avapow opened one up?

I don’t have a reason to doubt it, but I would also like to see one opened up and tested myself. I had a 2500A one that was about 4 years old, and this 6000a one is bigger and heavier. I’ll do some searching…somebody must’ve done a genuine test on the advertised specs.

i did not know this, i’ve had my car below half for quite a few days (haven’t been driving it bc it’s been in the shop). it’s almost on empty now. i’m scared to drive it, am i screwed? i live in michigan where it’s been about 7 degrees during the day and in the negatives at night.

Thank you for this very useful tips. These few days in Ohio the temperature drops drastically 12degreesF. I have a full tank in my car and thought that the tank might burst!. Now after hearing this info I am so relieved. I also find one interesting fact that when I stepped on the accelerator to 50 the car didn't go as it should. It shows that the tank is still frozen'

Sounds like you did the right thing! It’s 2 degrees right now now where I’m at, and I made sure my tank was filled yesterday. Winter weather can really do a number on engines and batteries.

Thanks for posting and a heads up, be super careful if you choose to go this route as I destroyed a good battery long story short,while lifting the battery out the pos. post became lodged under the metal braceing that is above the battery and by that time I was frustrated enough to yank it hard enough to get it out and in the process bent the post!!😓

What a laugh. Unless it’s absolutely lost and gone, GOOD LUCK. Because they aren’t paying shit. I’ve always eventually gotten paid by filing either one and sometimes two appeals. And also, this dude states if lost in mail they will refund the shipping fees too, maybe they are suppose to, but they generally refuse to do that too. FedEx and UPS, or at least they use to be, is far easier to get your legitimate refunds. USPS tends to blame the customer, no matter how illogical and incompetent the matter is and the insured had better be ready to dig in and get nasty if you think your getting a refund from USPS. IVE shipped thousands and thousands of products and know how to ship, cover blank corners, double box, cover all sides etc…. but it’s still your fault and they will take it to extremes to try and not pay. If it’s something valuable and perhaps has fragile parts, I take pictures while I’m packing. You’ve got to remember, most of their clerks and people processing these claims…. Many of them have never mailed a package in their entire life. And don’t realize what happens in the real world. But I’ve always got paid. Nearly 30 years ago, a friend of mine and myself mailed a valuable coin to Heritage Auctions in Dallas TX and it got ripped off at that post office. Fully insured and they refused to pay. Some F’in idiot came up with this lame excuse, “we don’t insure money” and rejected the claim. Turns out my friend also was friends with Marvin Runyon, at that time Clinton’s postmaster and he had his home phone number in Washington. My friend called Runyon and the next day we got our refund.

I had a scare today, brakes locked up and truck rear swung to right putting me in the direction of head on traffic. I managed to avoid crashing but it kept swinging and i was battling. Had to use the brakes cause the car in front was slowing down. Ended up just trying to aim for the ditch on the roght to just get away from traffic, crashed into trees which is what stopped me. :( had to call a wrecker to get me out. I have a good truck but found out its being recalled for a faulty ABS system. :( i dont ever want to drive again

That is a scary thing to go through! I’m glad you didn’t get seriously hurt, and it sounds like you did everything you could to keep the accident from being even worse than it was. That feeling of not wanting to drive again after an accident is normal and may take a little time to get over it. But at least you know it was a mechanical failure, and not your failure, that caused the accident. When you do get behind the wheel again, if possible, maybe avoid driving in that area where the accident happened, just so it won’t trigger your bad memories. And always consider counseling if the fear of driving persists. Sorry this happened to you. Take care.

You need a bag you can secure on the back of your seat or on your backseat b/c all that stuff you have in the doors.. if you roll or sustain a good enough knock, it's gonna go flying everywhere and you may not find them. I keep a bag secured in my backseat and in my console I have my window punches, knives, scissors, a hammer, etc velcroed onto the inside and onto the inside lid. Even if my console were to fly open, all of my things are secured. I keep a bag in my backseat with the same items. I also leave spare window punches on a keychain on the head rests. They're everywhere in my car.

How to correctly remove the jumper cables in order? Btw great vid!
@HowSkills
@HowSkills 15 күн бұрын
Starting with the car that needed the jump (disabled vehicle), first remove the negative cable connected to bare metal. Move over to the good battery vehicle, and remove the negative cable. Then also remove that battery’s positive cable. And finally, go back to the disabled vehicle and remove the positive cable from that battery.

Hello, and it’s great to hear from you! It’s good to hear that this mirror setup has been working for you, and that you have found the best way to adapt it for you. @@HowSkills thank you sir for posting this video and sharing knowledge with countless people who admired your explanation. Sure! Would you mind tell me which is better half half or third lower showing the ground let me explain please , I’m always aiming for the perfect side mirror setup being 6'4" and because of my height, I tend to tilt the mirrors slightly upward, which makes the view behind me look like it’s on a slight incline, even when I’m on flat ground. That said, I don’t have any blind spots with this setup. I’ve been wondering if adjusting the mirrors to a perfectly horizontal angle; 90 degrees to the ground, would create a smoother, more seamless transition between the rear and forward views. Would that be the ideal setup?

To charge a car battery or jump start a car which has a battery which is not accessible (doors locked, hood locked down, car keys not available) consider connecting the red jumper cable to the red cable on the starter solenoid instead of the battery positive terminal and the black jumper cable to anywhere on the chassis. The starter solenoid is commonly accessible near the bottom of the engine.

It's frightening to think that most drivers don't shoulder check when turning or changing lanes. It's the first skill that drivers lose after getting their license. Shoulder (head) checks will reduce the chances of colliding with other road users (especially cyclists, pedestrians, and motorcycle riders) when changing direction of your vehicle. Create this driving habit to be a safer, smarter driver. All the best, Cheers Rick
