That’s awesome!! Congratulations, and way to go with passing and no mistakes…your study and practice paid off. Oceanside, CA…love that area, and last time we were there we are at Ruby’s Diner, but I don’t think it’s open any longer.

Thanks a lot for your driving tips! I passed my driving test at the end of June but still discovering a new driving skill. Could you make a video of how to merge on the left lane for left turns? Some lanes are tricky, in CA we have short left-turning lanes, what if there are already 2 -3 cars in a row, and I can't fit my car?

I always move my hands to either, depending on direction, ~1 and ~8, or ~11 and ~4 when making a turn (hand over hand). Not sure why, but I think I’ve always automatically done that when I first started driving, as I don’t ever remember doing it consciously. I might be weird for that, but hey, it works.

Hi. I have a friend who drives with her hands at 7 and 5 except for turns. It drives me crazy but I don't find any comments or instructions about this position. thanks for any input!

Can you please do a video on pulling up next to the curb, and also pulling up next to another car? This seems like it would be something simple, but I struggle doing it correctly. When I’m pulling up next to a curb, I always end up really far away from the curb, even though I think I’m close. Also, when I’m pulling up next to another car (to get ready for parking), I don’t always get the right distance. The second issue when I’m pulling up next to something is that my car often ends up in a crooked position, instead of being straight. I’ll pull up next to the curb or next to another car, and I often realize that I haven’t properly straightened out my car, but I’m not sure how to correct it once I’m in there. Can you please do a video addressing these issues related to pulling up? How can we pull up next to the curb or next to another car correctly every time? And if we make a mistake, how can we correct it? Thank you 🙏🏻

I noticed the driver seat of your vehicle is on the left hand. Its on the right in the part of the world where I live.

Yes, I’d probably have trouble driving where you are.

I think that my parents always taught me 10 and 2 when I was learning how to drive
@HowSkills Жыл бұрын
That was previously pretty common teaching. Concern about airbags and driver safety has brought about the change to the 9 and 3 position.
@rubydo88810 ай бұрын
I got a written driving test last time, the option I picked was 10-2, and that's the wrong one. The correct one is 8-4, haha. But most people practice driving and instructors suggest the best one is 9-3.
@HowSkills10 ай бұрын
I’ve never heard of 8 and 4 being the correct answer on a test! It’s a good position for driving long distances to reduce fatigue, but not the best for all around driving, at least imo. But, maybe that’s being taught more. Interesting!

You didn't mention steering with the throttle.

Why the need to throttle unless you are chased by cops?😂
