144hz is nothing man 4090 is cheaper and much stronger than your monitor refresh rate 24gb v ram is good for 4k

@@C0d0ps There are a lot of games the 4090 doesn’t push 144fps at 4K.

If you can get a 4090 for $1k that would be hard to pass up. If it’s a 4090 at $1,600 (MSRP) or 5090 at $2k, I’d go 5090.

This is true In Sweden it is roughly 1400-1600$ In America it is probably 300$ less though

Im taking MSRP. It's the only way to compare components because of all the different brands and stuff happening in the markets. I did the same for the older cards as well, even though you can pick them up cheaper on specials (maybe not yet but will get there) and in the used market.

Pleasure and yes, but only for the Eye on the IO cover. The rest is only for the RGB headers on the board. You can change that with Asus's Auora sync.

True but the 5090 also has DLSS and the new FrameGen. Gets complicated to compare.

It’s at least 30% faster than the 4090 WITHOUT rtx. The 4080 super is obviously a worse card and at 1440P the card is 50% better than the 4080 Super and that’s NOT including 4K as the benchmarks say. At 4K(my source is tech power up of course) the 5090 is 70% better than the 4080 at 4K no upscaling. So no you’re wrong. It 100% is 70% worse than the 4080.

True, but I think its fine for 90% of people who would by the board (most dont know anything about MBs). Havent check the TUF boards really, but how can the TUF version have more PCIe lanes from the chipset? Are you looking at X870 then?

@ no the B850 tuf WiFi, it has 1x4gen4 and 3x1gen4, there a couple of Gigabyte boards with a x4gen3 and a x2gen4 that I’d consider as well.

it will work as 16x. the m2 is shared with the bottom PCIe slot, so if you use the bottom left M2 the PCIe slot will be disabled (and viceversa of course) as far as the manuals says about shared lanes that's the only problem so, i suppose, you can run both top M2 at 5.0, then the gpu at 16x 5.0 and then both bottom M2 at 4.0 (with the bottom PCIe slot disabled). it's a lot of connectivity for a board like this

All B850 board use full x16. Because Gen 5 x16 is connect CPU not Chipset.

Out of curiosity, why would that be an issue? Would you have preferred the button release they had previously?

@@hardwareoverload Think about it. You are swiveling the GPU inside the pcie slot while it there is still contact with the pins. The ideal removal method is absolute vertical not a 45 degree swivel, potentially damaging and bending pins and GPU connector. It may be fine for a few removals Im guessing youll be looking for a new motherboard/GPU way sooner than you anticipated.

@davidelancellotti8796 AM4 has a300, b400 and x500... AM5 - b/x 600 and 800. I thought that actual should be b700 and b800 probably. But for 2 not 3 technology chips.

i like my b650e-f design a bit better yeah, this is just a refresh. i do plan to upgrade to hero after i see 5090 prices and choose a model but thats pretty much just for visual purposes and e-clk generator. 870e strix looks horrendous too…

Sure, but if you are spending that kind of cash, you can go for the ROG STRIX X870-F GAMING WIFI. Has upgraded VRMs and overall just more powerful to handle the 9800x3d if you wanted to overclock. But this board will still work fine with a 9800x3d.

It was sent to me. It's not worth bigger channels time to do review/overview on motherboards. The ROI is not great, esspcially for detaild motherboard reviews. (I use to have a tech channel with around 100k subs) You get better returns if you just do a PC build with the board. But thats harder for smalle channels to do. Most viewers dont really care about motherboards so views arent that great. Thats why an unboxing is the only form that makes sense. Exepct if you are getting paid, which most smaller channels are. I wasnt for these but will most likey be later. Then its ok. But still not for large channels, getting a $300 motherboard means nothing for them.

@@trex7115 bro that's like saying a Rolce Royce is overpriced. Its simply not for everyone. If you want a better price and still want good value, consider TUF or Prime motherboards.

Tuf is better choice for storage TUF= 4 SATA Port, Rog= 2 Sata Port. Also Rog Codec is bad (ALC 4080), TUF Codec is better (ALC1220P).
