The DEF system is a problem. I have an older Dynamax without it and am doing everything I can to keep the rig in good shape so i can keep it for another decade at least. I also own diesels with the DEF. They cease to function on a regular basis. The UPS truck maintainers next door also hate DEF. If the vehicle sits for a while the fluid will crystalize in the injector and its a no go. Best of luck with your beautiful rig...

I agree. The Winegard sucks. It's a waste of money and nobody like the performance. Would never install one again.

It is sad that this industry in particular has so many issues with their products and to make it worse the service on the coach is usually awful and its hit or miss on the chassis side and worse you are dealing with two different entities that can get into a finger pointing game and always the customer suffers. I have been looking hard at a dynamax rig but after a lot of research I am having reservations about making a move in that direction. Did you think about having a 3rd party inspector inspect the rig prior to doing the paperwork?

It's interesting to note that certain companies sell RVs, and they have young representatives explain how to use them. However, it seems that they may not have checked the RV before it was purchased by the customer. It's possible that this could cost several hundred thousand dollars. On the other hand, my personal experience with purchasing an RV from Sunshine State RV in Gainesville, FL was amazing. They allowed us to stay for two nights, answered all our questions, and gave us a thorough three-hour walkthrough. It's an incredible place, and I'm sorry to hear that you didn't receive the same level of attention.

Well thank you for this, but sorry this is the way you launched off. Personally, and now into my twenty ninth year with camper vans, I never stay in campgrounds. But I am smaller and don't have a woman with me. Always be aware, everywhere, on the road. But try boon docking to get that quiet experience away from campgrounds. It can be anywhere. You will love it, saves you money and the scenery can be spectacular. The quiet is awesome too.

There have been way to many similar experience videos that show similar experiences. The chance of me buying a new RV is plummeting! I want one for spring ‘24. I will start looking for a used one. Hopefully without DPF.

Have to watch some of these dealers, well all of them. I got the special $2500 ceramic coatimg and i can tell it was BS. A true ceramic coating ypur supposed to wash, clay bar and if need buff the paint to get it yotally clean before applying. When i picled mine up the paint had some black streaks from where the water ran down the awning so itvwas pretty apparent they did a wash and applied iy, if theu even did apply it

The dealer you bought that RV from I would never buy something from there after seeing your videos. Plus, I hope they reimbursed you for all your fuel hotels in trouble all the way home. Me and my wife was watching the first video and I could not believe that was your walk-through video with that young kid he wasn’t knowledgeable at all. And if we were in your shoes I know we’re we’re all different. But I would’ve canceled the sale that moment. I don’t think they give you any respect at that dealership. I wish you and your family. Well excellent videos. Please keep them coming.

I'm no mechanic or truck expert but I have heard that diesel engines once you drive them for a good period of time say over four hours non stop you have to idle the engine for a good ten to fifteen minutes before you turn it off so the engine can cool off. Maybe this is what is happening to the Freightliner? You get to a destination after hours of continuous driving and you just simply turn off the engine which is why it won't start back up. Of course sales people and such are not truck drivers or anything themselves so they might not even have heard of these things.

Thank you for the video's. Was considering a Dynamax 31SS on the Freightliner chassis. What a disastrous nightmare. I wouldn't not have handled it as well as both of you. I am now hesitant to drop $260k+ on one... You would think the selling dealer would have a relationship with Freightliner. So they don't abandon the customer leaving them high & dry.

I’ve been driving Freightliner semis for years. It’s very rare that I didn’t have a check engine light on. All the time. At least a yellow one. I’ve been driving a semi with a Cummins in it for about a year, with no check engine lights. It’s nice not having those lights on all the time.

Hi, RV traveler family! (Jeff, Anastasia, Nara, Mars) Anyone who wants to travel by driving an RV needs to buy or rent an RV, and I would appreciate it if you could share miscellaneous travel knowledge about those things step by step. A lot of people don't know anything about RVs, and live with dreams. (Of course, like, share, and ring the bell!) VA, Tom

As a business owner the first thing that caught my eye was the kid in sweat pants and a sweatshirt doing walk around. Terribly unprofessional. I would never have an employee not dressed appropriately. Not picking on his age because I have seen many young people act like professionals. He clearly is not ready for that job. Shame on the dealership for allowing that to happen. This is a high ticket item and the transfer of ownership needs to be handled professionally.
