Modifications To Our Dynamax DX3

After finally resolving the initial issues, we have ultimately started our first RV journey. But before hitting the road, we have decided to add a few things to our new rig. Not many things, just a few, because, firstly, as newbies we are not sure what we might need while riding our Super C, and secondly, Dynamax DX3 is nicely designed. We are pretty happy with what we have now. However, we would appreciate any comments and inputs on what additions to our Road Runner would make our RV journey even more fun. Thank you.

Glad you got your issues sorted out. We sold our 42' Itasca Class A last year and ordered our new Super C. We took delivery of our DX3 37RB in May, with no issues so far. Take heart. Freightliner makes a good chassis, and the M2 106 Business Class is a long running, proven platform. Your trials are an exception, not the norm. BTW, Dynamax "forgot" out TPMS as well. They were quick to send a new one complete with a repeater for the toad (but no senders for same) to our dealer. Actually, I'm glad they forgot it. I installed it myself after ordering 4 additional pressure senders for the car and a dash mount for the display screen from Amazon. Dynamax mounts the display on the instrument panel near the parking brake release, and I prefer it up on the top of the dash just to the left of the camera monitor where I can more easily scan it. I put the repeater in the water bay and mounted it on the left side next to the hose reel. It needs 12 vdc, so I tapped into the 12 volt wires going to the hose reel switch. Works great! Not sure just how new you you are to the wonderful world of RVing, so here are three motor home tips; First, get some Centramatic wheel balancers put on your coach before too many more miles. They will greatly decrease the wear rate on those expensive 22.5" tires. Truck stops with tire shops like Love's, TA, and Petro sell and install them, and truck owners swear by them. They usually have the size you will need in stock and installation usually takes one to two hours. You only need 4, two for the steering tires and two for the drives as they mount in between the duals and balance both tires simultaneously. The buyer of our Itasca had done his homework and was thrilled to find that they were already installed. Second, once the warranty period expires, join Coach-Net, a dedicated RV service and roadside assistance program. They have one of the best, most comprehensive programs available for RV'ers, and have a well established service network that includes Canada. It will cover roadside assistance and towing for both your coach and towed vehicle. Finally, especially with the current fuel prices, get a TSD Open Roads RV Fuel Savings card. With it, you'll get a card that you link to the credit card of your choice and access to a handy app that lists all the participating fuel providers with real time maps for every state. These little tips come from over 40 years of RV experience, 8 involving motor homes, and are backed up with travels all across the lower 48 states, Canada, British Columbia, the Yukon, and Alaska. Enjoy your new rig! I'm going to have to look into that nano coating. I get my coach washed by Blue Beacon at the end of every trip. Since I'm too lazy to wash it, you can be assured I'm too lazy to wax it!

Hello and Nice to see your channel.. We are new here but love travel channels.. May I ask where you had the coating applied, and the Pepwave installed, I didn't see it in the description. I am also interested in the Pepwave. I may at one point and time invest in Starlink but I am waiting for the true mobile version to be released. Thanks for sharing.. Herbie & Mary..

Have to watch some of these dealers, well all of them. I got the special $2500 ceramic coatimg and i can tell it was BS. A true ceramic coating ypur supposed to wash, clay bar and if need buff the paint to get it yotally clean before applying. When i picled mine up the paint had some black streaks from where the water ran down the awning so itvwas pretty apparent they did a wash and applied iy, if theu even did apply it

Interesting they sell you on the "mercedes quality paint" then tell you it's not good enough without an after market ceramic coating. we had ceramic coating applied by our own detail guy for $285. Dealer wanted several thousand. same thing. just saying. don't want to hurt anyones feelings.

I agree. The Winegard sucks. It's a waste of money and nobody like the performance. Would never install one again.
