Dynamax DX3 Delivery Finale

We are finally ready to tell the end of the Dynamax DX3 Delivery story. It was an unexpectedly challenging trip for us. We have learned a lot from it. We are sure that you will find our experience interesting and useful for yourself as well.

Gaffney SC is where Freightliner builds chassis and they have a full RV service center where you can stay in your MH with electric and water hookups many RV’ers make this a yearly stop on their way North to have unit serviced.

Freightliner/ Dynamax should reimburse you for all of your expenses you have had to incur with the down time.

DUMP IT! DUMP IT! It's going to be a miserable RV. Give it back to them - then head to court and get your money back - it's a lemon. Not sure of your lemon laws, but I'd check into it

There is a reason pre-emissions hdts are worth so much..this experience highlights that. I'd rather have a well maintained 07 or older with a million miles over any new hdt.

I am curious, how much of the hotel and airline costs did you get reimbursed for. From dealer, Dynamax or Freightliner ?

Sir , I wish I had half of your patience . Having all those problems with YOUR NEW RV and still enjoy the journey with your lady ( As shown on camera) if I were you I'd have asked for the money back : what I paid for the RV plus what I have spent to fix the problems.

Sorry about your bad experience so far. Hopefully it will improve. As far as service goes you shouldn't have any problem finding a freightliner dealer who will service your rig. It's the class A's they don't like to work on

You're way to calm. I've changed my opinion about Dynamax, I've had extremely poor service and awesome service from Freightliner. Freightliner is a crap shoot. Pretty sure I'm giving up on diesels, in over 25 years of owning Motorhomes all but one have been diesel. Our current Motorhome is the only one with DEF and the only one that's had service other than oil and filter changes. Hopefully Freightliner, Dynamax and the dealership cover all your expenses. Good luck, Hopefully it'll get better.

Glad it sounds like your problems have been sorted, hope you can enjoy your new rig like we have been able to with our XL. They are very nice coaches, just sounds to me like you were dealt a rough start with your particular Freightliner chassis.

Thank you for the video's. Was considering a Dynamax 31SS on the Freightliner chassis. What a disastrous nightmare. I wouldn't not have handled it as well as both of you. I am now hesitant to drop $260k+ on one... You would think the selling dealer would have a relationship with Freightliner. So they don't abandon the customer leaving them high & dry.

just a note, ceramic coating won't help against tree branches in RV parks. they can still scratch the heck out of the sides. believe me i know. by the way, nice attitudes.

Dynamax isn't the same company it once was, before they sold out to Forest River. That was the kiss of death for an otherwise great motor coach.

I would have dropped it off - and LEFT it! 'Give it back to them! And probably get an attorney. This is total BS. Don't think the starter will be the real problem. Lots of modules to get that starter to turn the engine over. This is a NEW HIGH DOLLAR RV. It should be virtually perfect. Oh, I wouldn't life the wheels off the ground. - you guys, sorry to say, are new, nice, fresh meat. You are WAY too nice. Give it the hell back!!!

Glad it seems worked out. Goes to show you that the dealerships that try to sell you warranties ect will leave you on your own to figure out. You will always be stuck with going after the manufacturer of that original part

Rear brake light not wired? Seems like dealer should have caught that. But also when you were taking your lessons I’m sure part of the pre-drive checks are the brake lights and turn signals working. I’m suspect of Freightliner.

There have been way to many similar experience videos that show similar experiences. The chance of me buying a new RV is plummeting! I want one for spring ‘24. I will start looking for a used one. Hopefully without DPF.

At 83500 miles my 2005 Dynaquest needs new transmission, 8500$ Good news, it's not a def model.

Looking at those 2 warranty statements the first company never changed the NOX Sensors, from what I'm can see, a zero against the NOX sensors says they never supplied or fitted any. The second statement shows the Qty supplied and that they were fitted as shown by the figure 1 in the Qty column, and it looks like there are two NOX sensors both with the same part number but one described as -CORE

Internet is blowing up about poor quality control for the RV industry which impacts the customer..... Seems like you experienced that.?? I live in Florida and I'm trying to only deal with local sales.

Well thank you for this, but sorry this is the way you launched off. Personally, and now into my twenty ninth year with camper vans, I never stay in campgrounds. But I am smaller and don't have a woman with me. Always be aware, everywhere, on the road. But try boon docking to get that quiet experience away from campgrounds. It can be anywhere. You will love it, saves you money and the scenery can be spectacular. The quiet is awesome too.

Anyone who gets upset with managing technical problems of RVs may be in the wrong hobby. Owners need to become technically proficient with their coach's systems. The factory provides great support to owners, via videos, literature, & knowledgeable technicians to answer questions. Let Roll! 🐺

The dealer you bought that RV from I would never buy something from there after seeing your videos. Plus, I hope they reimbursed you for all your fuel hotels in trouble all the way home. Me and my wife was watching the first video and I could not believe that was your walk-through video with that young kid he wasn’t knowledgeable at all. And if we were in your shoes I know we’re we’re all different. But I would’ve canceled the sale that moment. I don’t think they give you any respect at that dealership. I wish you and your family.
