I love this, but you HAVE to measure everything carefully in soap making. What’s the point of measuring your water and lye if you’re not also measuring the oils? It ALL has to be precise.

CORN is INDIGINOUS to the Americas
@diablominero7 ай бұрын
If you're in a survival situation, you should boil your corn with hydrated lime or wood ash or another alkali before grinding and eating it. The alkali treatment makes the vitamin B3 in the corn accessible to your body, and destroys mycotoxins in case your corn has mold contamination.

I look these videos up every so often, hoping to see that Misty has returned to her life. It really saddens me that she took the dark road that she did when she had all she could have ever asked for. Mountain Man, I'm so sorry that KZbin took your family from you.
@texasjaco93854 ай бұрын
What in the hell! You don't know if she truly had it all, you didn't live in her home. I don't blame her for wanting more this type of life is hard and miserable, it's not for everyone. Some people find joy and serenity in it and others find it depressing. You saying she went down the dark road is ridiculously ignorant!! Because guess what genius, she left to live the life, that she was living before, she tried living this way but she just didn't like it. Look how they're dressed, it's absolutely depressing, wanting a pop of color in your wardrobe isn't a bad thing. You don't know what goes on behind closed doors with that "mountain man". The audacity of your comment is absolutely atrocious and extremely judgmental. You better make sure every aspect of your life is perfect, before you start throwing stones of judgement her way. How did KZbin take his family when they only had 11,000 followers? She wanted more for herself and her children, you don't have to live this exact lifestyle to be a good person.

I was looking at the store bought one of these, and OH MY GOODNESS THE PRICE! Plus, the tub looks way too small and even for me at 4'11" way too short. If I'm going to spend that much, I don't want to have to do anything to it to make it taller. My husband can build anything he sets his mind to, and he welds, so I'm having a little conversation with him tonight when he asks me AGAIN what I want for Christmas. This is definitely the way to go if you have the means to build it. Thank you so much for this video. God bless you and yours.

I’ve been making Marsha’s goat milk soap for 8 years now. My 14 grandchildren where small then and love the patchouli one. Well most of them are all grown up now and will purchase the ingredients from Amazon and send them to my house, so needless to say I’m soaping this morning a 100 bars made for the lot of them.....I’m loving it!!

I have never made soap and would like to try this one. Did anyone figure out the recipe and how much of the ingredients you would need to use? I know Marsha has a world of experience but as for me, I have never made a bar in my life. It scares me to just go guessing how much I should use as i have no experience with it. Thanks for any help someone can offer.

I made this just the other night. I can't believe people don't know what this is. In Europe, it's called polenta which can be eaten as a mush on the side or fried up but not breaded, just fried when cold and solid. In the midwest, it's cornmeal mush. I don't put nearly as much water in the cornmeal, just enough so it looks like wet sand and it doesn't clump at all when added to the hot water. A lot of people eat it with maple syrup as a breakfast cereal, but a Swiss woman I know fed it to her kids with a chunk of cream cheese. Delicious! Nutritionally, in hard times, or just when you want a simple meal, you could get a lot of nutrition from the mush, a little salt, some fat of some kind (butter, bacon grease), nettle or dandelion greens, and an egg or some protein. That's a whole meal right there.
