i want a bulldog in 44 but i’ve heard charter arms is hit or miss these days.
@booliganshootingsports41 минут бұрын
Current production Charter is pretty good. The best ones are the old Bridgeport produced models, you mainly need to avoid the CHARCO/Charter2000 era guns of the 90s-early 2000s
@acid6urns37 минут бұрын
@ yes i’ve heard the 90s and 2000s were shit. i have a rock island m200 and it s not gonna win any contests but for what it is and what it cost it’s built really well. my only issue is that for only like $150-$200 more than a charter i can get a ruger or smith and wesson, and if the step up in quality is worth it if rather pay for it. however no one makes 44spl only guns besides charter these days

It would be a lot less practical but a lot more cool if you saw off all but the pistol grip, but I cannot complain about a sawed off double barrel over under

Old original models are great, new ones are pretty good. Avoid the ones made in the late 90s-early 2000s.

I always wanted something in 5.7x28. It’s a sweet little round for what it is, especially in something like the PS90 or the Masterpiece Arms PCC in 5.7.

Whippet guns are so neat, and the Nydar gunsight is super interesting technology. I'd love to chop an Auto 5 or similar into a whippet gun and pin a Cutts compensator on, though I suppose the barrel would need to be a bit longer than most to prevent the compensator bumping into the wood foreend during cycling. I've been just infatuated with the look of the Nydar ever since Forgotten Weapons' video of a "1940's tacticool" Model 11
@Subzizzle23 сағат бұрын
You almost made the most concealable double barrel shotgun ever till ya put the red dot on er. Sure looks cool asf and prolly the only reason i clicked on the video. But imagine being a prohibition mobster totin one of these bad boys around in your pants 😂
@Rusty_Spiggle-SmithКүн бұрын
Where did you source the nydar and what are your opinions of it? Does it hold zero and is it pretty visible in daylight? I’d imagine it being not so great in cloudy sky’s… very cool to see
@booliganshootingsportsКүн бұрын
I got mine on eBay. It’s a nearly 80 year old design, it’s a product of its time but in the right environment, it works well. I don’t have mine in the normal mount so I can’t comment on its ability to hold zero. Mine is mechanically locked to the gun.
@Rusty_Spiggle-SmithКүн бұрын
@ oh so all the adjustments was in the magic of the original mount?

Looks relatively unsafe... Does anyone know the chain shot chance ratio?
@booliganshootingsportsКүн бұрын
0% lol. Cartridge fired guns can’t have a chain fire unless you have a very specific case rupture scenario in very specific calibers with very specific cylinder designs. This is as safe as the factory revolver it’s based on.

Kinda disappointed you didnt talk in a sterotypical 30's gangster, Bugsy voice: "Yeah, its a double barrel, see? You dont take time to aim, see?" That may not be quite historically accurate, I just know how Bugs Bunny imitated him. Lol

Love these semi-historical builds, would love to do something similar. One benefit to living in Canada is that (manual action) sbs’s are easy to come by and non-restricted. Just need to find that sick looking sight.
