I don’t despise the newer Battlefront games but this would have been so much better. Can’t believe it was all thrown away when the game was almost finished. What a waste of talent, work, and potential. I hope that this is one day completed/fixed by fans, I don’t imagine that it could ever have proper multiplayer but even just playing the campaign and against bots would be a dream come true. Elite Squadron and the BF3 Legacy mod are great but I’d still love a chance to actually play the real thing as it was meant to be.

This could have been so cool if they had finished it. I like the premise and the twins facing each other fits in well with Star Wars.

One of the things that was leaked at some point was the technical proposal for this game. At the time, and with what had been uncovered, it seemed to be a fever dream it would EVER see the light of day, with how they had to handle ship scale vs person scale, and the way they kinda do trickery to make it all seamless. It's really complicated and no amazing way to do ground to space in games(No Man's Sky has been closest) but seeing this here and functioning is incredible. I'm sure modders will make it even better and programmers will take apart the code and learn from it for future games finally. It's insane how well it works finally.
