Beautiful bike! Same year/colour as my Kona Explosif (still riding it regularly).

That Judy with Carbon lowers was made in '95, they got rid of bolt on arches in 96. Well, Marzocchi used them until around 98, 99.

That xtr derailleur might be the rapid rise version. The 97 S Works came with a 4 bolt strong arm crank set and had XTR hubs on mavic 221 rims. I do believe it was offered in two spec levels, the lower of which had the Manitou, and the higher with Judy SL (which was air, versus the coil spring manitou). Judy SL was the predecessor to the SID, which debuted in 99. I'm pulling that from memory, though. Back then, there were multiple versions of bikes with S-Works printed, the team versions and the factory versions.

Great idea to squeeze every bit of reuse potential out of those parts to serve people's basics transportation needs, as well as maybe...some fun stuff.

Always plan on doing a coil spring upgrade immediately with any elastomer fork. Best of luck with the clean out

For your hydraulic hose, you had to drill the frame anyway. Your rear disc brake converter is the interesting thing for real. But, for your next internal cable routing, if the park tool set doesn't fit really good, just use a Shimano positron shifter cable / wire! Make a little hooks in both ends, and then you put them inside from both openings, and let them " meet

Every fork I owned back in the early to mid 90's that had elastomers I immediately replaced with a spring upgrade. I had a RS Quadra 10 on my 1993 Giant Cadex mtb and within 3 months the "rubber" rod cracked and split. I upgraded my '96 RS Judy XC and my Manitou SX to Dirt Worx springs. Maybe there's a set of springs out there that might fit that fork.
