The most beautiful train in the world had to be Italian!
@PeterPete37Күн бұрын
Great video, as always. The italian pronunciation of "water" at 12:02 was sublime. I love the dry humour in Paul's videos, for me that will never not be funny, and now lives rent free in my head along with how you talked about the call button on the aer lingus lavatory "...if you're planning to be there for a long stay", and of course that famous Italian dish, "ganocci"...

I had thought about using this train company and trying the Executive service but when I looked at reviews and photos there seemed to be large vinyls over many of the Executive Class windows. Was I mistaken?
@Paul_LucasКүн бұрын
A minority of these trains had these vinyls- I’d heard they have now been removed, but I can’t be sure.
@truebrit3578Күн бұрын
@ i saw one at Gare de Lyon a few months back and that still had the vinyls. Hopefully they’ve gone.

I was in Rome at the weekend and stayed near Termini. I only used the station to use the metro. I also used the station to get the bus to and from the airport. The station was nuts. It was so chaotic and busy, plus it was absolutely huge.

....... magari un po' di DISERBANTE a livello dei binari dei fantastici Frecciarossa, cari Ferrovieri TI (al posto di così tanti scioperi......), in questa stazione Termini, che dovrebbe luccicare. Bah.....

Considering the cost to travel from London to Edinburgh by train, the €280 is actually not a bad deal.

Fantastic. Love traveling by Frecciarossa. It's just so easy and relaxing. It absolutely eclipses air travel.

Great report. When I'm in business/first of anything I want the trip to last longer! 230 Euros may seem a lot but for the product it's reasonable value - especially compared to UK trains in First class.

Great trip. Having whole cabin for 5 hours journey is simply lovely.

Much prefer to travel Frecciarossa Executive Class when in Italy over its rival Italo. IMHO, there’s no comparison … it’s Frecciarossa hands down 😉👍🏻. It’s the buttery yellow leather seats and the quality of meals. 😋😋

Not worth it. 5-7 times the price of business. Absolutely not worth it. Business is a perfectly acceptable product on FrecciaRossa

trains in italy are fantastic.once took a train from trento to florence and it cost us under 80 Euros for 2 adults and 1 child in business class. was only 12 euros more expensive than regular economy class as i bought the tickets early. very comfortable and fast. far better than the unreliable trains in germany and austria. took a high speed train last summer in spain and that was excellent too, but pricier. still very comfortable and punctual on the minute. still comfort and price wise nothing beats italy.

Did executive class on the Milan to Florence stretch 2 years ago. Set me back 100 euros but was so much worth every penny of it. Especially the in person service you get. The attendant felt more like my private butter, and yes, I could get used to that 😂.

Not a patch on the early 00s GNER First Class York-KX service! 7am out with Full Yorkshire Grill and then 5pm non-stop return with 3 course Silver Service dinner. Best of all, no KZbin creators filming anything and no smartphones so you would converse with your three random dining partners. #goodolddays

We did this train in BC in Feb. Was awesome. Sure beats flying. Only problem for us finding somewhere to put our snow boards we were dragging around Europe. On the bullet trains in Japan you book the last row in the carriage and pop boards behind your seat. Interestingypu had a long stop in Florence. So did we. We wondered why we were there so long. You just explained why. Love the train system in Europe. So easy to get around. Something Australia doesnt have unfortunately. Would love to do the Orient Express one day. We did the bullet train in Japan in i think it was called BC as covid started from Kyoto to Hiroshima. We too had the whole carriage to ourselves. Was terrific.

I'd take 5 hours in a train over 4 hours in a train any day! Especially in that luxury. I'd probably end up overdoing it on the free coffee, though! Great video, as always!👍

Good Day Lisa,I've been fortunate enough to have been on some great train rides. Amtrak's California Zephyr 6th longest train ride in the world and the Auto Train. NewZealand The TranzAlpine Christchurch to Greymouth, Australia's The Indian Pacific Sydney to Perth. Which is the 4th longest train ride in the world. Canadas ViaRail Vancouver to Toronto which is the 2nd longest train ride in the world. Tokyo to Hokkaido on the Shinkansen Hayabusa and trains in Spain. I would love to do the Orient Express but been the worlds most expensive I don't think so. For something really fun I went to Czech republic to the Vytopna restaurant on Wenceslas Square in Prague, I did not go to the Amherst Train Show maybe York.

The power of Italy’s regional cities/mayors! - getting a Frecciarossa diverted off the high speed line to serve Arezzo. There are several routes like that. The Freccia lounge is open to (almost) everyone. When booking on Le Frecce app select ‘add services’ - dog/carpark-*lounge*. A €30 add on for all classes of intercity and Frecciarossa. I need to have a word with Treni Turistici. Would be nice to add onto their trains out of Rome or Milan.
