It’s all just personal preference. Personally I liked all the different versions. Ang Lee made his look like a comic book, which I remember from my youth. Louis Leterrier mad Hulk more ripped and darker and menacing. And Joss Whedon went the more commercial route , making Hulk a bit more acceptable/ human if you know what I mean. All decent movies but the three actors all brought something different to the table. 👍

To sum up the video: Ruffalo is the better actor for the role, and Norton had a better director.

Yeah when they switched him to Ruffalo i just missed seeing the hulk but noticed the difference straight away the design was too smooth for the hulk like not as detailed or veiny and ruffalo is kinda wimpy, but i wish he has the same power as the first hulk aswell like he gets bigger the angrier he gets

While I agree that Nortons hulk is better, in fairness, Norton's hulk was multiple movies dedicated to Hulk whereas the MCU/Ruffalos hulk hes kind of just part of the cast and doesn't really ever get the full focus that Norton got. I'd imagine that over the course of all of the MCU movies the screen time is likely about the same as what Norton got in his hulk movies.

Norton is the best live action Bruce Banner closest to the comics, and his version of the Hulk was amazing. My favorite Hulk movie.

I really like Ed Nortons hulk a lot and always had. I thought his bruce banner was appropriate compared to many iterations of the character in comics and other media. Ed Nortons Bruce was very similar to the Bruce in Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes cartoon show, a scientist on the run constantly and learning the skills to do so. Which is why him parkouring made sense to me as well as him trying to be fit and physically in control of himself as we've seen in the movie. The Hulk I also loved too, the design of the muscles showing through the skin, his physical athleticism and his actions as hulk were great compared to ruffalos whos hulk just seemed clunky to me like a body builder who can barely apply his strength because the muscles prevent him from moving. It is a shame what they did to the hulk after the first avengers and age of ultron. World War Hulk is one of the best stories for hulk in heroism tragedy and action, seeing them take that whole story and make it off screen primarily and skip over huge parts of it is a massive disappointment, I didn't watch the season two of shehulk. Also the story of hulk being separated from banner from doom and them coming back together is a great story too and they ruined that completely. I hope someday in the future where the MCU is less remembered, some of the stories can be retold as they should've been.

I kind of agree, Ruffalo was OK as Banner, but as Hulk, he was horrible.That was not Hulk, you have to remember that guy went to war with the world in the comics and almost won. They had to shoot him into space to stop the man. They tried to do something with him in that third Thor movie, and he was the at best a subdued monster like Hulk on valum. I think by and far Ruffalo's hulk was wimpy as crap. I swear to god, the guy was in four fights and got beat 4 times. what's up with that?

You are a 100% right, I used to think that Norton was the greatest, but that Ruffalo looked better as the Hulk, but that stuff you mentioned about Norton basically playing himself, I can see that now. He really didn't cry much, not with actual tears. He could have stumbled more while he was doing the parkour, it would have made sense after all, he's supposed to be a nerd not an athlete. & though his character is trying to control his emotions, possibly doing meditation, maybe even also physical training, he shouldn't be a parkour expert. I think he should've watched "Superman" with Christopher Reeve, taking a page out of the late actor's playbook, "How to act like the perfect nerd!" Wear glasses & slouching, as you lower your shoulders & hunch your back, seemingly changing your overall appearance. The absence of body language, clumsiness, awkwardness, the absence of tears, the lack of shyness, even when he was delivery the scientific dialogue, it felt too confident. Most scientists can think really clearly, but when it comes to talking to other people, explaining their theories, they stutter, or seem a little shaky & unsure, but not him, this really undermines his performance, making it seem like he's just being himself.

I prefer Edward Norton's Bruce banner everytime.

I’ll be honest. I don’t think the films should be concerned with recasting. Ot boxes you in to what you can do and the stories you can tell if you can lose a character at any second, for whatever reason. As we’ve seen recently, it slso means you have to shift all of your plans would spent an entire phase and several movies building towards. Is it really any surprise MCU started struggling when the big names wanted out abd you couldn’t just recast?

The people who said "Edward Norton was difficult to work with" are also the same people who hired people who said "Henry Cavill was difficult to work with" because these 2 love the source material and wanted it to be close to it in spirit, if not in execution. Because yes, these works were good, it's why they lasted decades and had staying power, unlike the MCU product.
