Here is why I disagree with @ZachC. about his personal experience with the boat. You have never fished out of the boat to give it a fair review. Out of the hundreds of boats manufactured before and after yours, how many do you think had the same engine problem as yours? Did you do this research, no. Is this simply an opportunity to rant, yes. @4:44 in the video you actually expected for a manufacturer to pull a part off of an already assembled motor, never gonna happen because that motor is classified as a finished product not "Raw Materials." Pull a part off a boat awaiting to be sold??? Are you kidding or are you sick in the head? Thats what warranties are for. This video should have been how good or bad the service and warranty is for the boat. No one wants to buy anything that has a issue. We call in the warranty and allow the manufacturer to own it to fix this issue (Not a problem). You definitley wanted to make this video else you would not have. The boat is fine your motor was crap. Get over it.

Thanks for info!!! I noticed that you have Troll Motor Blade marks on your paint in front and on your Foot Mat on front from the blade rubbing and hitting the body of the boat. Mine does the same thing with my factory trolling motor that came on my 175 TXW They should have mounted it farther out from the front of the boat to help prevent that. It’s a manufacturer design flaw in my opinion. They need to also stop using Wood Flooring under the Carpet. The wood and or where the flooring mounts is already making a popping sound and moves in and out in certain areas. I got a great deal on mine several years ago so we’ll worth the money. Mercury outboards have sucked since the whole war on 2-strokes started.

Damn i would honeslty be demanding a new motor... i know mistakes happen but when its not your fault and clearly a factory defect, and as big as they are you would think they would send a new motor and swap it out to get you on the water asap. If one thing is wrong what about other things after warranty is out..

haha, tracker boat have their place - if you need to save money on a boat and need don't mind a entry level boat, than its the boat for you..........all my buddies with tracker have stories about their boat or trailer............issues

Constructive tip…..just show us what your using and how to do it. Way too much unnecessary personal opinions and commentary. Also….never cutaway on a “how to” video. Kind of defeats the purpose. Buy a tripod or camera holder or have someone else video. This video needed to be 4 min long…..not 10 min.

I like my RT178C, other than the storage compartments do leak some, but the trailer & bunks have been junk from day one. The fact that my dealer and Ranger didn't want to address the issues is why it will be my last Ranger.
