crazy good app. you didnt talk about the fx icon above on the right. i does nothing with sample. none of them. if i choose revern for instance the effects pops up but if i scroll nothing happens. why is that?? or how can i use those effects? mean not those in performing mode rather this iocon right beside the mic. if anyone can help, let me know. thx.

I learned one or two new tricks from the tutorial but mostly I figured it all out immediately from digging in. I already had way more than 4 bucks of fun and using a crappy Android phone to boot. cleanly you're app is very popular in the App store, but honestly the UI looks like crap. Why don't you make it look more like Ableton Note? Their UI looks better.Making a pretty UI is easier for you to do than is it for them to make an app as well-liked as yours.

Wow, I'll definitely go for this upgrade! I'm planning to use Koala mainly to resample stuff I created with analog / hardware gear. When comparing it to hardware FX, and even software FX (available mobile), this is such an insanely well-priced feature set! Thanks a lot and happy mangling & mastering everybody! If it doesn't totally collide with usability or hardware restrictions, it would be awesome being able to route the incoming audio (from an audio interface) directly into a Bus for real time effects on audio-through material. Well, maybe I'm asking for too much 😅

Self-oscillation on the top end of the filter res (say 98%/124 MIDI and up) would be a big addition. It is a missed opportunity to leave that out, if a small missed opportunity. Similarly, simply having two ADSR filters would not compromise simplicity but actually adds to it by having the exact same function set in both slots, just aimed at different things. And the ADSR is much more useful than a release envelope. The thing is, this little synth sounds great and will do lovely things. I'm just a tiny bit lost on those two choices I mentioned, since they would have been easy to do - particularly the envelope. Which is not to detract from the good things the new synth functions bring - they're great.

Clearing samples and edit button to not trigger on selection are things I still didn't know about. I've said it before, but best value in the music app game by a country mile!

Not a single audio app -- that is, DAW, plugins effects, sampler, looper, or otherwise, even touches Koala, even if it goes toe to toe with those with $500+ worth of extensions. It feels criminal to buy even the Samurai upgrades for such a low price.

honestly, best app on my tablet by far. just bought a m-vave smc pad to play with koala and it works flawlessly

That logo at the end that looks like a device? I would buy that in a heartbeat! Oled pads that show the waveform? Physical knobs? Usb C, 3.5 midi, Bluetooth? audio in, out, mic, all the size of an iPhone? Yes please!!!!

I'm a primarily synth/keys based musician, so the synth caught my attention and this is just amazing overall. I tried Koala today for the first time and upgraded fully after messing with this app for 5 minutes. I'm absolutely blown away. This is such an incredible tool for portable creativity, which is huge for me lately. Koala is gonna be a big part of my portable music making process. Thank you!

why i cannot record the audio from the system video recording function on this app

Can you somehow route the audio from the synth into Koala pad or bus for applying fxs and mixing?

I bought Koala when it was first released, and also bought the Samurai add on; really appreciate supporting great apps and the developers behind them, even when it ends up sitting on my iPad, mostly unused. At a time when I'm slowly working through learning music production, Koala just impresses with all of those additional features, in addition to its base functionality as a very capable sampler. Now, we get a synth, and the design looks so great for me to craft sounds from scratch, especially for a guy like me learning sound design. So, so great...definitely the best value add out there, and a true labor of love. Respect.
