Im loving koala - especially the samurai update. One thing I’ve been increasingly wanting is the possibility to import several samples, like kits. I’ve spent a lot of time cleaning and creating different sets of samples and would love the possibility to create custom folders or kits that I can load as-hoc to support my projects. Keep up the great work. I’ve learned a lot using koala.

@Nayr Adejo Nope. In Koala, in the sequencer page, if you hold the Clear button and then you press a pad, you clear all its notes. In an MPC, while you hold Erase and then hold a pad only while certain notes are playing, you erase those specific notes.

Wow. I’ve been struggling hardcore with hardware sequencers and samplers. It’s left me feeling so uninspired. I do work on my computer for a living and have resisted making music on anything but acoustic instruments, voice, and hardware electronic devices. I’ve been curious but still resistant about using my phone or getting an iPad for music making. Holding onto some purist ideology. Checking out this app here in KZbin and having just downloaded it I feel the dam might be about to break on my musical potential! Now I just need to figure out the workflow for using external samples of which I have many. And eventually using midi clock w my hardware synths. Can it do all that?
@elfaudio Жыл бұрын
Loading external samples is easy if you can get them onto your phone or iCloud. Syncing to external synths is best done with Ableton link - it does have midi clock support but needs quite a reliable clock to work from. I know I’m biased but if I were you, I would buy it, try it out, and if you don’t like it you can get a refund within 28 days directly from Apple. If you need support, I’m on www.koalasampler.com/contact - I don’t often check all the KZbin comment threads but always check the messages sent to the above link

Please keep going and listening to your customers. We know some if what we want and even come up with good ideas. I understand your idea about not having too much editing nor undoing abilities, but I want to be able to edit more. Please give it to me. Make it a secret; tell me how and I promise I won't tell anyone else how to do it. I want to be able to everything with samples inside of koala and nit gave to use other apps. Koala is so close. @@elfaudio Wow I;m sorry I figured this would be obvious... I'll explain why I think it would be a breat and simple feature to have. :) .. Sometimes I'll have a swquence going and want to do some edits to my chops for example... To start and stop my sequence (to hear what I;ve changed in context) I have to switch back and forth between screens... Sometimes the process of editiing is a bit 'trial and error' so I find myself switching back and forth between screens only to start and stop my sequence. Taking me out of the flow a bit... Especially when in the edit window I feel like having a play/stop button at the top corner would be incredibly handy for most users... I takes up very little screen real estate so I dont think it would be a problem in that sense... Also as a designer; I would ask, WHY NOT? It's the most core control for a sequencer and should always easily be accesible. Like the spacebar on a keyboard. It's big and ind the middle... or the play button on any hardware sampler/sequencer... They're never on the back of the unit or under a shift function... You just wanne be able to play what you'ge got regardles. Thank you for coming to my ted talk

i got to say that at first i was judging the book by its cover because i been looking and looking for the best auv3 sampler for work flow in app store, a fully functional sampler that can do everything a sampler is supposed to do, and can replace my obsection with caustic 3 pcmsynth 😁 which to me its the closest perfect sampler because it had a lot of tools in one, sample editing, cut/cut part, paste/paste in mix stereo to mono ect (which i think KOALA do),, plus it got a filter, a volume envelope, a LFO (which i think KOALA also do), and you can add 88 samples in each keys ( which Koala kind of do) plus for the reason that caustic 3's pcmsynth do what should always be included in sampler, and that is the ability to play and edit sf2 and sfz files which also are samples (which koala doesn't do 😭 ) DEV please add that ability to Koala because at the end road the pcmsynth from caustic 3 its too limited compared to koala because first of all its not auv3, (like Koala is ) 2nd caustic 3 doesn't have a play a pick slice part section like Koala do, which in the pcmsynth its a time consuming problem, and by the looks of it koala doesn't have that problem plus for what im seeing about koala on this video, puts on a higher level of what a sampler is supposed to do, because does tricks or functionality abilities of Koala takes sampling to another level for sure, even though it looks like koala is missing a few ability which should be included in sampler like for example auto timestretching to bpm thats should be a much in a auv3 sampler,,, also what should be included in sampler its a fx like Halftme/grossbeat 😁 well that is not a must but that would perfect in a sampler 🙏 and yes another must its a all around sequencer even though its a auv3 but a sequencer it should be a part of a complete sampler, anyways the reason i comparing Caustic 3 pcmsynth to Koala is because as a mobile beat making i started in Caustic 3 mobile on android which is what i was using to make my beats in my channel until now because the last past month i move to iphone so bought every daw and Auv3 instrument or fx, but i having bought Koala yet because at first i was judging the book by its cover, but by just watching this video it shows me that i was wrong about koala, even though i think its missing a couple more options like the ability to play sf2 and sfz which i have a BIG collection but i having been able to used it in my iphone because i haven't found an auv3 that can do what the pcmsynth do, except for now that i see what Koala can do even though it doesn't play sf2 which i wish it did because then to me it would be the perfect and only sampler that i be using in my beat projects 🙏🙏 anyways im going to the app store to buy Koala because this video did convince me to buy, but hopefully the dev continues transforming Koala into the point that koala would be the number one must have auv3 sampler for years to come
