A thriving marriage is made of two thriving individuals building a relationship together. That would explain why the health of our marriages is ultimately determined by our individual health. We often talk about the importance of physical fitness, but we also need to be diligent about spiritual, emotional and mental fitness. The Christian life is all about maturity, and marriage offers a wonderful environment for maturity to develop. If we will embrace the feedback we receive, get serious about our personal contribution to the relationship and pursue health in all areas of our lives, then our marriages will have plenty of opportunity to mature. But where do we start? By making one right choice at a time. You and I have growth opportunities presented to us every day - we simply need to learn to recognize them and make wise self-care choices along the way.

You're being overly opinionated to make a sweeping statement like that to people. Some may regret eloping, some may not.

My uncle and his wife did the same and I get it. My father doesn't deserve to be at my wedding anyway because he invited everyone close to him when he married someone new but not his own daughter. My mother won't approve that I marry another woman. My fiance can'tcome out to everyone in her family either. So, no regrets.

Only someone with bean dip for brains would want to have a large wedding. Just go to Las Vegas, with your significant other, plus two or three friends, go to a wedding chapel, and get hitched by an ordained Elvis.
@rogerlambert931611 ай бұрын
Eloping is easier to plan, less stressful, and can save a lot of money. A down payment towards a house, is much more important, than a giant party.

Elopement is easier to plan, less stressful, and less expensive, tan a formal wedding. With the money you save, you can use it as a down payment towards a house.
@ultraintuitive8774 Жыл бұрын
That's what we choose to do because weddings aren't for either of us. Take our time in the engagement and then elope. It's about us not other people. Put resources and energy to travel and honeymoon. Be practical yet have a good time. We agreed off top no debates. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Ngl the more i think about elopement the more appealing it gets
@one_yangАй бұрын
Yes. Very appealing. Not that the day of your wedding isn't more or less important than other things, but it allows you to save money on your wedding and pour money into other equally important things such as building a life with each other.

I couldn't pull the $800 outta my bra $800 or $8000 a bridesmaid SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY TO DO SOMEONE THE FAVOUR OF BEING IN THEIR WEDDING.
@MS-dc2tt Жыл бұрын
Doesn’t the brides family pay for the wedding, here in the states? Also, why would the bridesmaids need 8k a piece? They just need a dress, makeup, hair, etc. right? Shouldn’t cost more than $800
@Ashbrash1998 Жыл бұрын
Not really no, some people do its more common for both families to. As for the price, yeah it can get crazy how much people throw on weddings
@MS-ld1xj Жыл бұрын
I think people are overusing the term "elope". It means to run away and marry in secret. What I think you are describing is just getting married on a reasonable budget (assuming you aren't meaning just go to the courthouse).
