Now that we're somewhat post-pandemic I am wondering if these suggestions still hold? We are older- in our late 30s- I guess I'm wondering if it's tacky to ask for gifts? I have never been married and although we are eloping in March, this is still very exciting and new for me. My fiance was previously married and has had his own experience before. We are planning on a celebration party at some point afterwards, would it be more appropriate to register for that occasion even if it's post-honeymoon? Only putting off the celebration bc May-Sept are super hot in my state and I want to put an elopement photo in our invitations.
