I know, right? That was such a chilling detail.
@FugoriHassei
@FugoriHassei 4 ай бұрын
That detail floored me. It made me think of the film Aniara, about a spaceship that is sent from a dying Earth to bring humans to Mars. In order to make the trip bearable, the ship is outfitted with a Mima, a device that projects images of calm spaces into your brain. It’s meant to ease anxiety during the month-long journey. In the beginning, it is barely used. Then something goes wrong. The ship’s nuclear reactor is hit and it and all their fuel is jettisoned. The ship goes off course, with no way to correct it. They won’t reach Mars. In fact, they’ll never reach anything. Everyone aboard is doomed to die alone in space. People start using the Mima in huge droves. They’re desperate for the natural light and natural settings that Mima can project. Some people beg to stay for long periods of time, beyond what is allowed. Mima absorbs all of these people’s emotions, their stress and fear and sadness, and provides a momentary relief from the inevitable. Then the Mima speaks. It begs the technician to turn it off, to let it sleep, to give it even a moment alone. The collective stress of the humans is slowly killing it, it started sharing the painful things it’s received back at them, the collective pain of humanity is so difficult that it was forced to break its code and speak directly to the humans so it can get a break. The humans don’t let it have a break. Mima dies violently, exploding and harming the humans exposed to the blast. Maybe that was a better fate for the Mima itself. Anyway, AI experiencing pain makes me a little weepy.

I love how this series subverts so many tropes of its genre. There’s the soul of a little boy trapped in this game. He’s just a normal, innocent boy. There’s a sentient AI within this game…. it’s scared of whatever else is inside it, and speaks politely and just is in no way malicious from what we saw of it. There’s Biblical imagery…. And it’s also not used in a super edgy way. And on top of that this entire project is just stunning. Feels like it could be a real game.

before everything got corrupted, the only reason I wasn't completely convinced Tharsis was a real game was that the voice acting was too stiff, which I couldn't see Capcom letting slide. This whole project is incredible, truly a monumental work of horror, and I'm so excited to see more!

I mean, isn't it kinda just like animal crossing? I mean, don't get me wrong, even what we can see of this game as uncorrupted looks like a fuckin' BANGER compared to the Animal Crossing game of the era, especially given how it's for PS1 which kinda lacked that sort of game, but as far as a /modern/ life sim goes it doesn't look super special compared to modern titles.

I'd give just to play around in the environments. Like, it doesn't have to be a full game, just seeing if the game was even made to be controlled via a controller. Cause it feels that way, but it could also just be animated in such a way to make it feel like it was a control-guided game.

So the whole sequence with Nottt I think is probably the most enlightening thing in here, as it suggests that the AI that's running the game isn't really in control of things either, and in fact turned parts of itself off because it couldn't help the children and couldn't bear to watch or listen. I get the sense that this is either the work of genuine divine or demonic forces, or what I think is more likely, that placing impressionable and religious young children into a device that reads their minds has resulted in them creating a self-inflicted hell, one that even the game AI itself can't figure out how to get them out of.

I wonder if they tried to use Nottt because they ran into an unexpected problem with Matias, that he was not compatible with the ceremony because he gave his life to Christ. I happen to know a lot about the bible so I can maybe conjecture some things. I'm speaking in biblical lore now, but once you give your life to Jesus, the Holy Spirit occupies that space in your soul. The soul is like a house. Once the holy spirit lives there, it becomes like a sword, ready to protect you and strike at a moment's notice toward any spiritual adversaries that your human eyes and ears cannot detect. It's why people who have the holy spirit can't be demon-possessed. In a metaphorical sense, people who haven't accepted Christ have their houses at the mercy of any intruders. So my guess is with this game, that the ceremony was maybe botched/incomplete because the Holy Spirit in Matias slapped that shit back, and that they (the researchers/developers) in their hubris didn't even think about God possibly being pissed about all of this, hence the end part with the tv broadcast? What if Nottt is quite possibly still hiding because he happens to be the only part that could release the last 'lock' on whatever that sword-pierced thing is, maybe the final 'lock' is her right arm encased in ice.

I believe the last theory. Do you know what drives religion into the heart of children? Belief? Love for higher power? Relief? Nope. It’s fear. From myself and many other children who were religious while young. We never once believed in it for comfort against hard times. We were scared of god and the devil. We believed they watched and judged everything we said, did, or thought. When you teach children without context “god is watching” “the devil is watching” they are going to take that literally. We made our own hell that took years to get out of, and some of us never fully healed. (I have severe OCD and anxiety)

So Valle Verde was not only a game with artificial intelligence that could generate new levels and awnsers based on behavior and entered text via chat, not only had it the ability to load your brain into it, not only was it a semi Animal Crossing/Harvest Moon look a like with Flying mini games and exploration, it also is an emulator for videogames, books and movies... including games and the above with voiced and drawn cutscenes that were genereated by AI as well... Wow. Not only is this concept wild it is also executed in a so believable way it blows my mind. This isn't a real game. It is a game created within a game created for an ARG. It was speaking of the fates of sinners in hell; I believe the dark world they're able to access is some kind of parallel for hell. It's a bit hard to interpret unless you know catholic beliefs, because a lot of this, including the different sins in the generated rooms heading to the church area, is heavily based on catholicism. My running theory is that the authors of this game and the tech behind it accidentally tapped into the brain in such a way that they could directly observe the work of divine powers. Does not bode well for the authors, then, bc this feels like wayyy too much for them to handle, given they have to document it in terms like "level generation"

Some notes on observations I made: 1) Many people assumed that the door to the chapel being too small is a reference to "It is easier for a camel passing through the eye of the needle, than a rich man." (Matthew 19:24) However, the fact that it requires you to be smaller is more likely a referen ce to how children before the age of majority (IE Approximately 12yo) are generally given a "free pass" to heaven so to speak. 2) The chess pieces are obviously referencing "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil" but as to why they are specifically the animals they are or why there is clapping is beyond me. 3) The names of the "Zones" in the gray area map are letters of the NATO phonetic alphabet (IE Alpha=A, Juliet=J) 4) The angel figure is from the Angel Quest demo that is seen later, Omniel is the "Angel of Oneness." I could not find exactly where this figure originated other than some metaphysical pages. 5) When the "Aerial Camera" is triggered the box shows "THBrain" and references to Neural Data and Plasticity. This along with the fact that the leeches that are shown later in the Tharsis demo leads me to believe this is some sort of THBrain Brainscape interface that somehow can read data from multiple games. 6) "La Fille De la Lumiere Rose" Is not a real painting, and it's translation is basically "The Girl of Pink Light." The fact the painting can be bought for "30 Money" is almost certainly a reference to Judas betraying Jesus for 30 pieces of silver which is further shown by the girl in the painting being referred to as "Betrayer." 7) The flame over Pietro's head is representative of the Holy Spirit being in him, like in the story of Pentecost. The name on the green text box is "This is True" and "Peace Be With You" is a common saying in Catholic mass (the response is "And Also With You") 8) The "Compass" is a Rosary (Catholic prayer beads) the fact it is a "compass" means that praying will help Matias "find the way." 9) I don't have much to say about Nott other than his name is oddly enough Germanic in origin, also the room he is in has THBrain boxes all around that are shown later in Tharsis. 10) The games in the memory card that are real are Civilization, Circuit Beat, Kyoro-chan no Purikura Daisakusen, Cyber Sled and Tomb Raider. The fake ones are Angel Quest, Hexacom and Tharsis; these games are all compatible with the THBrain while the real ones are not. Also each game has a corresponding "Ult. Visualization" which correspond to previously mentioned characters, Kazuya has 3 for some reason. 11) Tharsis is obviously fake, however IG is a real company mostly famous for mostly animation (IE Ghost in the Shell) but they did also work on video games. SIST is also involved with the game, same as Valle Verde. Tharsis is most likely a reference to the "Tharsis" region of Mars which includes it's highest mountains. It could also be a reference to "Tarshish" which Tharsis is the Greco-Latin version of, Tarshish is referenced in the Bible though it's location isn't exactly certain. I'm not entirely sure why either would be referenced, but hey just food for thought. 12) The Japanese in Tharsis is extremely wooden and was most likely just ran through Google Translate. The text on the sign in the THBrain area reads "Sodom? Gomora? No!" The last sentence starts with "God is doing (verb)" But I cannot make out the other two Kanji for the life of me, if someone can make out the other two that would be helpful. 13) The floating statue in the Brainscape is almost certainly a representation of "Moloch" (A god in the form of a bull). Moloch was a Phoenician/Canaanite deity that was offered burnt sacrifices of children, as we can hear there are the cries of babies in the scene. The thing hanging off of it looks like a hexagram, which while commonly associated with Judaism is also used in Occult/Mystical practices. 14) The broadcast shown at the end is from a real show called "Life is Worth Living" that was hosted by the man in the video Fulton J. Sheen in the 50's. I cannot find the original broadcast of "The Chaos of Man and the Chaos of God", so it's possible the voice is AI Generated or read by someone imitating his voice. The animation at the end shows it was made by "Dumont" which is the network that produced the real life show, weirdly enough however the title card shows that it was also made by SIST which certainly had zero involvement in the original show in any shape or form. This is all I could figure out (to the best of my ability) hope someone finds this helpful.

Nerd with a kanji dictionary here: with the visual distortion it’s hard as fuck to make out, but after frame-by-framing 19:01 + some guess work I am *fairly* confident the first part of the final line is “神を演じる” - to act as or pretend to be God, or in other words, “playing God”. The second kanji character is flummoxing me, but my best matches are either “奥” (heart, interior) or “男” (man, male, etc). Given the pluralizing ーたちsuffix, my money is on the latter. So, your full message is “Sodom? Gomorrah? No. Men playing God.”

Mouthwateringly incredible work!!! I still think my head canon is that leaving children's brains in a poorly rendered game and allowing them to generate content has led to a self-imposed corrupted purgatory due to learnt thoughts and feelings in their childhood pre game inception. But also of note!: There seems to be multiple simulated villages that are located in different locations (most likely connected to the map we saw of the dark plane), and one of these villages has seemingly completely generated content while another has a large stockpile of non-generated content. Would be really cool to see some of the non-generated content that might be influencing the game. And having to literally make yourself smaller to go into the gates was very clever.

6:40 Very interesting. The last words of Martin Luther were actually, “Wir sind better. Hoc est verum.” The first sentence is German, and the second is Latin. “We are beggars. This is true.” So the name of this strange entity we see in the game is named, “This Is True.” 8:40 The suited man is named “Nottt.” In Italian, this means “night.” Another edit/note: Nottt was very respectful to our main character. I gotta give him credit for that. That conversation was also super important for us, clearly. We know Nottt is self aware about being in a game, because he references one of his vertices and at least one old memory. Also, this in-game archive is… I don’t even know how to comprehend it. But this game Valle Verde is a whole world of its own. I think human beings are living in it, or are all playing the game, and treating it as a hub-type open world, similar to Animal Crossing. However, the storage space of this game seems to be huge, or allow for… an awful lot. It’s hard to explain. There is something going on here with this game on a deeper level. I think there’s people in the game’s world who have nearly forgotten what it’s like to be on the “outside”, meaning outside this game. Nottt is one example. Also, the archive - players uploaded whole games into this one game… And books, music, everything. Yeah, I think people are living in Valle Verde. Unless the archive is some sort of modification connected to the user’s/player’s device. But that doesn’t seem quite right for it to be just that, because the game clearly states that other people upload to the archive. 18:42 A reference to the “THBrain device.” This has to be a variety of a game console controller that connects a player’s mind to the game. Hence, the people who have gotten lost in these games. I wonder if there are people who are hooked into this Valle Verde game, which is really a hub world for all kinds of things, who are forced to stay in the world, and somewhere their bodies are hidden, or kidnapped, or just placed somewhere hidden. Like the children from the first video, for instance, who are probably missing in this fictional world’s real life outside the game. Remember when Matias was confused in the first video and wanted to go home? Yeah, he’s held in this world against his will, just like Nottt. This is genuinely terrifying so far, seeing this unfold. The concept of the THBrain device is definitely scary, and it looks bloody dangerous, honestly. 20:17 Well… that’s something. I know this is a reference to something. Is this Moloch or Satan? Because that looks like a goat head on the thing. And wow, after the attack, the emulator game inside Valle Verde crashes. I have no doubt that that Satanic thing was not a part of the original Tharsis game. Is it possible that human beings are not the only ones jacked into this game’s world? Perhaps that is too far fetched to suggest at this time. This is beyond Valle Verde being a game with hidden religious and cultic iconography and references. This was inside an emulator game uploaded to Valle Verde’s archive. So something else is going on, well above and beyond the idea that Valle Verde’s developers are up to something. Valle Verde became something. It went from being a kids game with possibly nefarious intentions (with the THBrain device being involved), to something else. If anything, greater consequences have come about as a result of this Valle Verde experiment. And yes, Valle Verde began as an experiment, just like the THBrain device - I mean, this is probably true. These anomalies are showing us what’s really going on. And again, this THBrain device is remarkably dangerous - revisit the shooter game at 18:42, we can see a literal scan of the player’s brain matter. 21:00 This house contains another archive, but an archive in the sense that things were archived in this house. I think someone real lived in this house and brought these things in there, like the video of this preacher or priest talking. A religious person was sucked into this game with the THBrain device, in short. And I bet they made those drawings. 22:13 A drawing returns. It’s hard to pause and see it. I had to turn the speed of the video all the way down just to pause it on time. Someone should translate the words next to the drawing. Is that a person with a scythe in the drawing? I cannot tell. Maybe it’s a depiction of the character Death. I may be wrong. 22:53 I screenshot the hidden photograph. Is that FDR, the former American president, surrounded by other guys from his cabinet? Probably not. But I have have no way to attach the picture here, so let me know what you guys think. It’s definitely an old photo that matches the time period of this video with the male narrator. 23:30 The narrator is correct. Regarding unseen horrors, which he names outright, he predicts the THBrain device, honestly, as well as its usage alongside Valle Verde and whatever else is out there. This use of technology was a step toward the materialism he speaks of, and away from the spirituality that used to be the focus of civilization. Again, there is a religious but also spiritual theme here. And guess what: he’s not wrong. The infiltration of, or inclusion of, Satanic elements are right here in Valle Verde. The THBrain device is absolutely the kind of thing this speaker was warning people about. I don’t mean he knew it would exactly be this very item to pull people closer to the Satanic, but it’s in the same vein as his prediction because it achieves exactly what he said would happen. 23:40 There it is. RIGHT HERE. This is the key. Whatever human minds can come up with that is horrific will pale in comparison to its heavenly counterpart. Do I even need to explain this one? The THBrain device is literally connected to a person’s mind. This Valle Verde game and world is literally connected to people’s minds, with their horrors and fears and everything - yet they pale in comparison to the divine horrors we have witnessed, probably not even to their greatest extreme. Witnessing the seven deadly sins during the previous video, in one “anomaly”, is an example of what I am talking about. Witnessing the goat Satan thing just a moment ago is another example. There are non-human forces using the THBrain device - heavenly forces or Satanic forces. Perhaps both. That’s my overall prediction.

@@fcomolineiro7596 This "Sun Made of Explosions" has to be a reference to Nukes, and that was what FDR was involved with during his presidency. The ending of the sequence has an angel dropping down and blowing up the Earth, but also looks similar to a Nuke explosion. So the constant messaging of "Whatever Mankind makes, God will double down and make a greater weapon", seems to come across pretty straight in here

I love that the AI that run things isn't cold or uncaring but withdrew for entirely human reasons; they couldn't stand to be constantly aware of suffering they couldn't fix. Like... That's 90% of why terrible things are allowed to go on in the world. Because people see other people suffering, can't fix it by themselves because the problems are systemic and perpetuated by governents we were born into, and withdraw from discussions about that suffering because it feels useless, even masochistic. Which leaves space for willful deception by those who benifit from the existing system. Who will deny those systemic issues even exist because the broken status quo serves them. And people who Desperately Want Things To Just Be Okay will repeat those lies because they are comforting. SO FREAKING GOOD

Yup. I've unfortunately experienced the bystander effect, I was in a crowd of people when my abusive ex began whaling on me right there in public. Everybody just stood and stared, no one helped me. Several took out their phones to record it. I've never been very good at being outgoing, but after that incident I never trusted humanity and have always recognized that human beings are inherently bad. There are good people here or there, but as a whole, humanity is utterly awful. That's why I don't understand Nottt. He rules this world, doesn't he? I'm not too clear on whether or not he created this world and has complete control over it yet chooses not to help the innocent, or if he was just placed here as its ward and cannot actually make changes or save anyone. Because of my own life experience, I interpret it as the first one.

@@WobblesandBean that is the question. But I think there's another piece to it. Nottt appears to be a self aware AI and has, at the very least, the power to remove and protect himself. It also sounds like they wanted to make him subject of a ceramony-- some have theorized they wanted to take HIS face, just like the kids, but I don't think that's it. I think the other NPCs interpreted him As God when human people with concepts of God entered it. And tried to worship him. And he fled Because He Does Not Want To Be God, despite having the power to do SOMETHING. What do people do when their god refuses to appear? They make new gods. I think that's what's up with Foxxo and the Golden Calf; a story about when people were going through a hard time, their prohpet left them to go talk to God and get some guidelines up in a storm cloud at the top of a mountain, and those who had control over the resources immidiately started hoarding, melted down marks of wealth, and shaped a golden cow and started worshiping it in the old way-- human sacrifices. I think Nottt interpreted himself as a person, and when his outsized power was recognized? He fled. And the children cried out for help, and he deleted his ability to hear them. This chains into another theory, about Chloe. She's from France, and a lotta people in various European countries are taught their mother tongue and English-- in part to help the Anglicans spread their beliefs and force compliance to the church and ultimately The British Crown. The French had a bit of a revolution about that whole Divine Right thing. That's where their slogan about Knowledge, Reason, and Fraturnity come from. But then one of the revolutionaries revealed himself to be just in it to seek power for himself-- he started The Chruch Of Reason and posed himself as God, and with that absolute power enabled Neopoleon's conquest-- but he didn't wanna rebuild France, he wanted to be Emporor Of The World. And even after everything he did? They didn't send him to prison, they gave him a small island to play dictator on-- because Power isn't interested in punishing the Powerful, its interested in Maintaining Power, Maintaining Inequality. I think Chloe might have cottoned on to this and spoken out, and became The Betrayed, the feminine shape gives us an English Language monolog about The Fate Of Betrayers. Nottt only speaks Spanish, and the only kid who survived? Did so through his beleifs that something divine would protect him. He didn't cry out, so he still gets to speak and be heard. But everyone who did cry out? They're silent and invisibile. There but impossible for us to see, as evidenced by their drop shadows in front of their homes. I think Chole was made an example of when she fought, the other kidw complied, and Mattias... hid, just like Nott, except Nott has the power to change things. Nott is privilaged, and used that privilage to flee to where he could not be reached, like a king behind his castle walls. He's just as scared as Mattias, but while Mattias is sympathetic because he has no power, Nottt is made reprehensible because he is CHOOSING inaction. That's just what I get outta it, tho.

You give a computer scripture and let it watch the hypocrisy of man and it goes nuts. Oh hell yes, a new episode! I'll be writing out my observations like I did for the first part - I'm so excited to watch! :3 0:02 - The first thing I noticed is the lack of money - it seems that the counter for the game's currency got reset from -99,844, which is the total we last saw it at. (At least, from what I recall.) 0:04 - Here we see the pause screen, which I believe(?) we've seen before but I haven't thought about much. The text on the right says: Actual Position (Of your character, presumably), Town Hall, Museum, Library, Laboratory, and Bar. The clock in the lower right corner seems to be losing its mind for some reason - either it's broken, or time is not flowing correctly on Debug Island. 0:07 - Lydia is a name I don't believe we've seen before - apparently the player received a gift from her at some point. There's also the Divine Mercy which was gotten last episode - it seems to either halt or further glitch out the clock. 0:24 - This scene is highly reminiscent of the imagery of the "gates of Heaven" commonly used in Christian depictions of the afterlife. It makes sense, then, that the gates guarded by Uriel(?) can be opened only via Divine Mercy. I also find it interesting that Uriel (I suppose he could theoretically be representative of any cherub, seraph or archangel, but I will refer to him as Uriel for convenience's sake) guards the gate instead of Peter. I also think it's possible that the doorway that appears could be referencing Mark 10:25 with its size. "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God." Perhaps Divine Mercy is not enough. 0:52 - I... have no idea. There's the obvious chess imagery and the invoking of the "Three wise monkeys" from Japan, but... I'm not really sure how it relates to the story/themes as a whole. We can see that Kikazaru is represented by a horse(?), Mizaru by a bear(?), and Iwazaru by a dragon(???). 1:43 - To me, this map looks roughly like a map of China and its surrounding areas, but I might be totally off. 2:19 - The map's name is Alamo. Álamo means white poplar in Spanish, but I have no idea if that's what I'm supposed to be getting from it. If any native Spanish speakers could help clarify, that would be much appreciated. 2:21 - I'm beginning to suspect the angel I've been referring to as Uriel is indeed simply a cherub/seraphim who is guarding not the gates to Heaven but the Garden of Eden. If this is the case, then the allusion to Mark 10:25 might simply have been a coincidence. Here we see Omniel, who is a true archangel according to some Christians. Omniel is an incredibly obscure figure, so I know quite literally nothing about them except that a few websites refer to them as the "Angel of Unity". Take that as you will. 3:05 - As far as I'm aware, this is not a real painting - if I'm wrong, please let me know. 6:30 - We've got a name for the person playing the game! Pablo! 6:39 - Hoc est verum - this is true/this is the truth. 7:02 - A compass, eh? I suppose rosary beads could be considered a spiritual compass of sorts... 7:30 - Hopefully that was Matias being extracted from the game... 7:41 - DBGSM, MORINM, UMINM, and YAMANM. These likely stand for DEBUG-Shima (the location that the player selected at the start of the game), Mori no Machi (Forest Town), Umi no Machi (Ocean Town), and Yama no Machi (Mountain Town). These (presumably) correspond to the different areas one can select at the start of the game. 8:53 - Whoever is playing the game in this clip appears to be an English speaker, which is interesting since most of the inputs previously have been in Spanish. This confirms that there are multiple people playing - Pablo isn't alone. 11:44 - I'm thinking that by 'modules', he's referring to the other people trapped within the game. That's just my guess, though. 14:06 - We now know who Lydia is! She's the archivist(?) of Ocean Town. We still don't know when or why she gave us that gift, though... 14:21 - A bunch of names of previous testers are here, as well as... Foxxo. Strange. It's odd that Hexacom lacks an associated name. 14:30 - We finally get a look at a depiction of the THBrain. It's... rather grotesque, to be honest. It also doesn't appear to have a screen - unless the brain *is* the screen. 14:40 - Again, we see that this game as well was developed in part by the Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology. 14:44 - The text below THARSIS reads "legendary" or "the legendary". 15:09 - I'll be honest, I'm terrible with spoken Japanese so my attempt at understanding it will probably be very, very bad. I'll try my best. "I'm taking initiative now. Status?" "We were infiltrated twenty minutes ago. Someone got in through the ducts." "Caution - they could be anywhere." 15:40 - Yet another look at the THBrain system. It's like a typewriter with a brain... 16:02 - Just a general note - the soft-spokeness (or at least, what I perceive as soft-spokeness) of the boss made me giggle once or twice. He's so polite and calm when speaking. 17:55 - No connection. 19:00 - Sodom? Gomorrah? No. Those who play God. 19:38 - Interesting that there's a torii here - there doesn't seem to be anything sacred here at all. 19:47 - I think this statue is supposed to be Moloch, a god traditionally associated with the Canaanite's and who is described in the Bible as being associated with child sacrifice. 20:22 - Moloch(?) spews out some of the same enemies that we saw consuming Omniel earlier. 20:46 - This song is El Vals Soñado by Miguel Calo. I don't know if it has any deeper meaning, unfortunately. 21:18 - Pictured is (I think) a copy of Life Is Worth Living: 50 Lessons to Deepen Your Faith by Fulton J. Sheen, a well-known bishop and evangelist. The video is an episode of his television show Life Is Worth Living. 21:35 - You can see the Shizuoka Institute of Science and Technology logo in the bottom right. Interesting... 22:12 - This is apparently a quote from Benjamín Solari Parravicini, an Argentine artist who is also responsible for some of the odd drawings seen throughout this section of the video. He is well known for (apparently) being capable of foreseeing the future and foretelling of it through his artwork. The text reads "Llega ya el sol de explosiones. Él entregará guerra - el hombre enloquecerá y el Caos será para anular el Caos del hombre. ¡Caos de Dios contra Caos del Hombre!" which DeepL translates as "The sun of explosions is coming. He will deliver war - man will go mad and Chaos will be to overrule the Chaos of man. Chaos of God against Chaos of Man!" although I'm sure it's not totally accurate. Dates mentioned: 02/24/1997 08:14 02/26/1997 07:52 02/27/1997/ 17:12 03/04/1997 - 16:14 03/09/1997 - 15:24 03/12/1997 - 09:23 03/14/1997 - 09:10 Thank you to rogaes1510, caringheart34, and whatever10production for some of the information presented here!

This video is absolutely incredible the amount of effort is on display throughout the video. The animation is absolutely drool worthy and I can't wait to see what comes next for Valle Verde.

Ever since the first installment, Valle Verde became my highly anticipated series of the year. I literally leapt with joy when my pal told me another installment had come out last night. Boy oh boy, the wait was so utterly worth it!! Excellent work as always, Alluvium. I can't sing enough praises about how genuinely stunning this is. Please keep up the amazing work, you're killing it out here! :]]

There's an insane amount of work put behind this project and I just cannot express how cool it is to see it unfold each time a new part releases, excited to see more while the community tries to piece things together with what we have at the moment

First of all, the praise: this work is AMAZING, and I seriously didn't expect you to tackle an entirely different game. This is just a commendable amount of effort and I bow down. Tell me the truth, you're a professional, huh? ;) That said, as I'm writing this comment after pausing the video at 19:22 to write this otherwise I'd forget this theory I thought, when I saw that Capcom made a game using the THBrain technology, it reminded me of when back in the day of the first PlayStation some would experiment more with accessories, and this peripheral was no except. But... then it dawned on me. Peripherals have a bad habit: they tend to not work particularly well (just look at Caddicarus' video about PS1 accessories). And the THBrain was no exception... but given WHAT it was connected to, its malfunctions turned out to be far more disastrous.

As a Christian, it’s nice to see religious theme used *respectfully* and well researched and not go all “OOOOH! SCARY UPSIDE DOWN CROSSES AND SATAN AND HYPER REALISTIC JESUS!!” y’know? It’s not everyday in digital horror where Christianity is used as a sacred place to defend from the corrupted nature of the game.

as an agnostic person, I like that the use of christianity isn't shoved in your face either. in some christian series i find that it's near impossible to enjoy the work without feeling preached to, but in this series it manages to tell a compelling horror story without leaning to heavily on either side of the spectrum. it's not 'oooooo the devil is here and hes gonna kill you ooooo', but it's also not 'if you don't pray to god right this second you're gonna go to hell'.

Just at a loss of words for the amount of passion and hard work on display here, and such a uniquely written plot too. So much analog horror is derivative but this stands on it's own, I was just in awe the whole time wondering how you pulled this off. Love how many new questions this introduced, and man, an animated game intro?? This feels like something a team of 20+ people would struggle to make, idk I'm just so glad to support ya. I think I need to up my patreon sub hahaha. Really hope this blows up, it deserves to more than p much anything else on youtube right now honestly

This is unreal. Without a doubt my favorite "haunted PS1" style project out there, it's insane the amount of work and short amount of time between Ep 1 and 2. Seriously, this is incredible. I thought the animation was taken from somewhere else until I read the comments. I'm awe-struck!!🤗

A few thoughts 0:50 hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. 2:20 an angel's corpse being devoured by scavenger insects is terrifying. I love it 3:55 outstanding animation! I love the design of this character and their punishment. The monologue is fascinating 10:30 the concept of forgetting a language to not understand pleas for help is horrifying 14:25 a fictional game inside a fictional game, that takes some dedication. The animation is incredible, I'm continuously in awe of your creativity! 19:25 the disturbing imagery you create is honestly inspiring to me 20:15 so these insects that eat or corrupt code are made by that creature? 24:25 an angel crashing down to earth like a meteorite is rad as hell This is easily one of my favorite analog horror series ever made

I can't imagine how much effort must've went into this series, Valle Verde by itself is incredible in how accurately it gives off that PS1 era vibe... but Tharsis is on a whole other level, I'm certain that had I not been familiar with Capcom's PS1 library it would've absolutely fooled me into believing it's a real, obscure Production I.G game. Thank you for this incredible experience and I cannot wait for later parts!

To think that not only have you already made a surprisingly convincing game with such personality and polish, but to actually do it a second time and make it even more convincing? You deserve all the praise and attention needed, this project needs more eyes on it The Tharsis part threw me back in time for when i had those weird japanese games with no translation and having to feel my way arround the game Nicely done

it's so rare and special to witness art that does every single thing i care about, on youtube or anywhere else. creating new and exciting imagery, taking inspiration from both "high" and "low" media, engaging seriously with culture and politics, all while paying special attention to the minutiae that makes life...life! this really is a remarkable work, and it's so deeply exciting to watch it come to fruition!

I know everybody is mentioning the amazing attention to detail of the fake PS1 games, but holy shit I'm most impressed by the painstaking accuracy and attention to detail of the fake Fulton J Sheen sermon at the end, right down to the actor portraying his likeness. Insane stuff, this series absolutely should be something to experience by yourself first and foremost.
