Gorilla⭐️ Kintaro worries about his mother, Genki, who was bitten by Momotaro.【Momotaro family】

This video was taken on August 31, 2023.
Kintaro is naughty from the morning on this day as well.
He persistently annoys his mother Genki.
(3:55〜) Then Momotaro, who was watching it, bit Genki's hand.
Of course, there's nothing wrong with Genki.
But Momotarou gets angry at Genki and Gentarou even if Kintarou is at fault.
It may be an instinct to protect small children.
Kintaro looked at Genki worriedly, but Genki seemed to be saying, "It's your fault."
Genki hurt his hand a little, but it's not a serious injury.
After that, Genki went up to the ceiling and ate a lot of lunch.

⭐️Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
Born in Ueno Zoo on July 3, 2000.
His father is Biju and his mother is Momoko.
His father died before he was born and he grew up never knowing his father.
He came to Kyoto City Zoo in 2010 and is now a father of two sons.
⭐️Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Born on June 24, 1986 at the Kyoto City Zoo.
Her father is Mack and her mother is Hiromi.
When she was 10 years old, she went to Ueno Zoo for breeding purposes.
But she had a bad relationship with another female gorilla, and she injured her fingers and toes with her self-mutilation and lost a lot of weight.
When she returned to her hometown of Kyoto City Zoo, she was fine, and she lived with various male gorillas.
Then she met Momotaro and she gave birth to two lovely sons whom she lovingly raised.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at the Kyoto City zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
He is very close with his younger brother Kintaro and they play together almost every day.
⭐️Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at Kyoto City Zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.

It really was savage. I've been watching the channel for about a year and I've never seen Momo try to hurt Genki like that until now. That was a sustained attempt to inflict damage. Some folks think he was trying to defend Kintaro but I didn't see Genki do anything to Kintaro to warrant such an attack. Thankfully we could see Genki using both hands to swing on the top of the cage around the 8:43 mark. That was a good sign. At first I thought Momo might have broken her hand with that vicious bite.

I did not see Genki biting Kintaro right before the attack. I saw her biting him earlier in the video. Obviously Genki did something to trigger Momo. I assume it had something to do with Kintaro but the truth is none of us will know for sure.

Gentaro would try to play with genki and she would get mad and try to bite him. However I agree. Give genki her own exhibit and bring in a new female for momo.

No, I really don't think she feels up to it with her age and health issues now. She is very much bonded to Kintaro but she didn't play with Gentaro much because they didn't get to bond for over 1 yr. I don't know if she ever fully recognized him as her son tbh. Why can't Kintaro give her a break and go play with Momo? He apparently has a lot of energy judging by that attack. And if you say his job is to protect. Protect what? there is nothing to protect, so he might as well play with his boy. Lol. Even Gent doesn't play with Kintaro that much anymore. If they brought in a new female he still wouldn't know what to do with her either.😮

I know that she wasn't hurting kintaro. But that is normal for any silverback that sees someone biting his child. The same thing happened last time that momo saw her biting him, except that time he just grabbed her head.

But it's been that way from the beginning....he did not know how to mate with her when he met her, she had to show him repeatdely when he was supposedly 'interested' so regardless if he has lost interest now or not, he has a lack of understanding from the beginning. As far as protection goes, I'm talking about the 99% of time he is lazing about doing nothing. If he were playing with Kintaro himself there would be no Genki to "protect" him from as she would be eating peacefully away from them.

Momotaro’s attack looked much worse than it really was. His jaws are so powerful that if he really bit her hand he would have crushed it and she would have been screaming hysterically and they would have had to remove her immediately for urgent medical care. If you notice at 7:17 when Kintaro wanted Gentaro to play with him, Gentaro was very careful and cautious on how he was playing and biting Kintaro. He was watching Momo the entire time. It wasn’t their usual rough playing.

Kintaro is growing so well and getting more mischievious too. Mama Genki is not able to catch up.....Genki is just too sweet and demure..calm and beautiful. Such a responsible mama ❤❤ Now that Gentaro is getting more mature and behaving well...mama Genki has to go through another round of youth gorilla's playfulness and roughness with Kintaro till he becomes mature like Gentaro. Momotaro is like being protective over Kintaro as mama pushed him off when he approached her roughly am i right? Otherwise Momotaro is usually very calm. Both Kintaro and Gentaro are annoying and in her face when she has something good to eat. Otherwise, Kintaro decided to put his wrestling moves on Mom the way he does with Gentaro. Dropping on the from above (maybe to compensate for his smaller size) is what he has been doing with Gentaro. Just not sure that Genki wants to play this game.

I don’t know what happened but it looked scary! We just see a snippet and can’t make judgements on the little we see. And, we don’t hear what’s going on, just the little doodle de do music. Kintaro may have screamed and that may have triggered Momotaro. I don’t know, but I know it’s not normal, so something triggered it.

It was very reassuring to see Genki using both hands to swing around the 8:44 mark. I was worried Momo might have broken her hand. I don't know what precipitated that attack which was about as vicious as I've ever seen him with Genki. It seemed he really tried to hurt her. Some folks think that he may have been defending Kintaro but I didn't see Genki do anything to Kintaro to trigger such a reaction.

I don't like Momotaro, he can be vicious and likes to throw his weight around. The attack on Genki was, as far as I could see, unprovoked and I was heartened to see Gentaro coming to her rescue. I hope Genki is okay but I would prefer to see her with a silverback who has a kinder manner because I fear Genki suffers from stress and I understand why. The gorilla family I watch in the US seems to be a much more stable, settled Troop and we don't see any of the histrionics displayed here. I hope this family will survive but I do think Momotaro has a mean streak which is not nice. 😢
