That Subway order pickup issue could be because some of the food delivery apps put restaurants in their app without permission. They clearly stated that they don't participate in the food app at the start.
@TwistedSense7 ай бұрын
As someone who has worked at Subway for 18 years. The new system is irritating. If it's not setup 100% correctly, it will push orders through online. Then they fixed it to give the option to preview the order before confirming it. But ultimately the owner/operators are not required to participate in all the promotions. I remember one time our manager didn't set up our bottle drinks correctly and the menu said we served blue powerade when we never had it. (Only the red). Also if they don't get to the computer in time I believe it automatically prints the ticket. The even more irritating part is sometimes people wont put their real numbers on the order so you can't call them and tell them that "we don't do this at our location". Even worse with UberEats. So many times I had to argue with customers about these issues.

I'm a Correctional Officer and you hit the nail on the head about needing insane asylums again. The majority of mental health institutions got shut down in response to the horrific things that were happening in them in the past. The issue is that not all of the institutions treated patients that way, but the few that did ended up getting a large number of places shuttered due to public outrage. Now, the primary places that people with mental health problems end up are jails, which are ill-equipped to deal with the mentally-ill in the way that they need to be. As a Correctional Officer, we're taught and trained about how to attempt to de-escalate and attempt to resolve issues with inmates who have mental health issues, but we're not professionally licensed counselors or mental-health experts. The bottom line is that there aren't enough places for people to go in order to get treatment in a way that they need to, and when they act out in a criminal manor, they end up in jail.
@christopherconard28316 ай бұрын
There's also the drug/crazy classification issue. Rehab facilities won't take people with mental health problems. Those places that can deal with the mentally unstable generally won't deal with addicts. There are very few facilities to deal with people who fall into both categories. The few that do exist are very expensive and certainly not available to a random street crazy who's been picked up for standing in the road while screaming at a stoplight.

Heck yeah!! A little Lush Life on a Saturday. I saw a lot of fights in Korea like the two spitting guys, but they started slapping and choking each other on a guy even started pinching while he was choking the other one. It was the wildest fighting ever, and happened daily, and usually by people that way old enough to know better.

‘The Lost Generation’ are the old people in China… When you realise they were the thugs that survived the cultural revolution backstabbing their neighbours and families, where intellectuals were persecuted and erased. What do you end up with ? China (mao) encouraged the country peasants that had no formal education to make them comrades; that since got rich and seemingly more vulgar in their disconnect to what’s regarded as ‘civil’.

Sometimes you have to deal. As long as it's not on a battle front, you should be able to make it work. I once spent a free night in a janitor's closet with a sleeping bag. I'd been driving for fifteen hours and needed to sleep. I missed my check- in by three hours due to me not being able to map properly. The room I had booked had gotten rented. I was not an asshole and could adapt.... Best night's sleep ever, because I had walls and a ceiling, and was right behind the clerk. That we worked everything out is my most epic travel story ever.

The lady at 23:29 is correct, she’s on the right side of the pathway…that’s basic protocol in the USA. It’s crazy to see how many people are like the person on the bike and go on the left side of the pathway. One of the things I enjoyed about Japan is that people adhere to staying on the correct side of the pathway and everything runs so much smoother. Even on their escalators, if you want to stand, you stand on one side, that way all the “walkers” have a clear path to walk up the escalator.
@sirsillybilly7 ай бұрын
That’s the way it is in Australia. It’s common sense to walk the same side you drive, here being the Left. It’s not only efficient but safer. The majority of the world drives and walks on the right when you look at the numbers .. A massive issue living in Sydney (personal gripe) , a city which grew like a mushroom unplanned over time with narrow footpaths; with mass migration (double the US figures) it’s an experience. You can imagine the frustration of walking to the shops in the tourist part of town where I live… comedy of errors ! ( ironically so many look at you with disdain with their muscle memory confusing them they are in the right…. I mean I know you’re a dumb tourist but surely when you walk past hundreds of ‘dumb Aussies’ you’d get the drift ? ! 😂
@SeanShimamoto7 ай бұрын
@@sirsillybilly I agree with you 100%. And for the record, when I go to Japan, I'm a tourist, but I quickly picked up on walking on the left side and I fit in perfectly...so I don't blame you for being annoyed 'cause it's such an easy adjustment to make. 😄 Sending you and your ohana love & aloha from Honolulu! 😄🤙🏽❤️🌈☀️

The room we got was 2 bedroom for 5 guys, we slept like hot dogs next to each other and it was perfectly fine, no one touched each other, except maybe i played footsie once, jk. maybe. 1985 thru 2012 I worked in customer service in several different states and nearly every region of the country... not once did I ever see someone freak out on an employee. My daughter was attacked in 2004 when she was 16 and working a night shift at Subway in San Diego so, I know it's not that it "never" happened, but it was exceedingly rare. Many people now are so self centered, impatient, emotionally immature with hair triggers and think a violent response is normal. Post 2008 the world began to change, but the last 4 to 5 years has been the most drastic. I very much attribute it to the combined advent of social media and smart phones. They've had a tremendous negative influence on behavior. Other things have also played a role, but not nearly to the same degree, especially after the algorithms were so heavily implemented in 2020. People watch or read something negative and it just starts feeding them more and more of the same type of content. It's warping peoples minds, influenceing what they think and believe in a way no previous form of media or entertainment ever could.
