I am a woman and I absolutely shake the gas pump when it’s finished. But I will say I only started doing it because one of the first time I ever pumped gas, I didn’t shake it and when I took the nozzle out to put it back, it leaked on my hand. Sooo relatable. My license expire a few years ago. Because of the fact that it was during Covid and I couldn’t go do all of it in person, it took me a whole year to finally talk myself into going to do what needed to be done so I could have a driving license again. Which involved me having to take both the written exam for learners and the driving test all over again. Luckily, I got to do both in the same day. I would have only completed the written if they wouldn’t have let me do both… I’m 36. I’ve been driving for 20 freaking years man 😂😂 Basic ass “adult” stuff is way too hard than it should be. But when it comes to the actual hard shit, I am a pro at it. I’ve been trying to understand why this is for decades now. I KNOW everything that I NEED to get done.. at ALL times. But fully committing to completing a task sometimes can be like pulling teeth. Also, when you actually plan to do something important, it usually doesn’t happen. It’s always out of nowhere when your brain is like “Hey.. we’re gonna go do this today. Like right now” 😂😂😂

You know that your obligation/pressure to do work around the house/yard ends as the sun drops (because it'd be disruptive ot others), so the more hours you sleep during work time (daytime) the less you're obligated to work while awake. Just lazy people thinking it's surprising that they find it rewarding when they do something that helps them be lazy. The sensation of falling and then waking as your body twitches itself awake is called a hypnic jerk or myoclonic contraction. It's usually when your body is transitioning to deeper sleep. Everyone gets them from time to time. Sometimes you will be dreaming and precipitate the action of your jerk with jumping or being pushed or tripping. One time, I was dreaming that someone was about to punch me in the face and I woke myself up with a jerk and actually punching myself in the face. Weird!

My favorite Aaron Neville line: "I don't have much, but what I have I'll eat you for. And that may be ALL I need to know." [Survival edit] As far as 'shaking it'. Of course. In fact, some people tell you "If ya shake it more than three times, you're playin' with it." Well, if you DON'T shake it at least three times, you won't get all of the 'liquid out of the hose'! Anyone who has put away a hose, without emptying it first, knows this.

No joke, the small pickling cucumbers are so much more flavorful and tasty than that long thick skinned variety. Homegrown also makes a difference versus store bought, if you can source them or grow your own. In the summer when the veggies were ready for picking, my Mamaw would cut up some maters and cukes, mix them together with a small dollop of Dukes with a pinch of salt and pepper, and I would just it eat out of the bowl like that. Also, I shake the gas nozzle, I think it's less about being a guy and it being a force of habit, and more that gas is expensive these days, so I am getting my monies worth, and I also don't want to spill any if I can help it.
