Luke!! I’ve been waiting for this series!! Filipino-American here! I can’t wait for you to try the country’s famous and national dishes! Lechon, sisig & adobo to name a few (just don’t forget the rice or even better get the garlic rice!) I understand the frustration of having a language barrier at times. However, you are just so darn sweet, watching you interact with the locals is just such a refresher! A few words to keep in your pocket (something that I’ve kept with me as well) instead of just saying saying “yes” say “opo”, say “ate” when speaking to a female counter part, “kuya” for the male counter part, “saan po” (where?) and “salamat po” (thank you). Enjoy and have fun!!! Can’t hit that subscribe button fast enough!

Hello Luke. I can trace the term "dirty" ice cream back during my childhood, during the early 70's. The more popular and commercial ice cream back then were the "clean" branded ice cream, Magnolia (later bought by Nestle) and Selecta. So to differentiate, the homemade or locally (vs nationally) sold ice cream were called "dirty."

Hi, kuya Luke I've been binged watching your vlogs since the beginning you got here in the Philippines and I am very happy watching you having fun discovering new things and places. Addition to that is the story behind the “dirty ice cream" here in the Philippines. So they call it dirty ice cream since children's loved ice cream so much and their parents (especially the Moms) tries to scare their children not eat that ice cream since the server/the seller of that ice cream does not use any gloves which is right since it's unhygienic ! So that's the Story behind it. Dirty ice creams are usually seen on the streets because they are roaming around to sell those ice creams on nearby places where many kids are around. Have a safe day ahead Sire Luke and I can't wait to watch for another exciting video :>

Some say it is called dirty ice cream because it is a way for mothers to discourage their kids from asking them to buy it. Back in the days, they use fresh carabao's milk to makr it coz its cheaper than cow's milk. Nowadays, becausr of supply problems, people reverted to using packaged cow's milk.
