I love how everytime he tries to be nice and leave a tip but ends up pissing them off 😭 Its because tipping culture dosen't exist their. Helping travellers is a big thing in kurdish culture which is why they usually dont ask for money until you really incist, so giving them extra money makes them feel bad 😂

They dont tell you this but when you buy from these street vendors - NEVER buy only a morsel. Buy enough for 2 people as a gesture of appreciation. This is the culture all the way from India to Iraq. It's a matter of street courtesy - courtesy is shown by buying enough of their goods/wares. Always buy more, and if u can't eat it then give it away to someone needy or a kid. But never shame or disrespect them by buying only a morsel or a taste test. It's a loss for them. Never do it!! Locals will never do this and your Arabic speaking friend is too american to know this nuance of street courtesy!!
