Can you recommend some? I remember buying these russian knockoff Legos, and the bricks were poor quality, missing, not compatible with Legos despite looking like Legos, and had stickers larger than the pieces they were meant to go on. And I have quite a few of these sets. At least one military tank, a pirate ship, a viking ship, some Lord of the Rings style barbarians etc.

bela or lepin is probably my recommendation they are pretty affordable and sell the same exact set and no one will notice that they are fake unless they stare at it if these brand dont exist then lego can raise their price as they want and we are still forced to buy from them

I’ve gotten a few knockoffs, mostly because they’re much cheaper. Aside from the goofy box art and names, they’re actually pretty decent these days. The only difference in pieces is one has a lego print on the studs and the other doesn’t. I’d even say the knockoff battledroid figures are better than official ones in how their joints snap on. Of course a collector sees no value in knockoffs, but they have their appeal as cheaper toys and for people who just like building brick sets regardless of brand.

theres one knock off lego star wars set that i ended up getting, because lego never made it, which is crazy!! the set in question is the Hammerhead Corvette, particularly the one from rouge one, arguably one of the most important ship from the battle of scarif in the movie. how lego failed to make such a important ship from that movie just boggles my mind, if they ever make the ship though ill for sure get the set!

My personal favorite knock-off Lego line has to be "Wange" in part because of the poorly translated boxes. Who could forget the famous Police slogan- "Telling the wonderful story of the police for children is to showing the justice spirit of the police for the world". That's what I always say 🤣

Fun fact: A few days or weeks ago, I was at some Iranian shop and it had a “Matiloos” toy store in it. It had something like Super “Morio” and Harry “Putter” fake ripoff Lego sets and wondered to myself if it was either an inspiration set or a full-blown knockoff. But then I spotted the real Super Mario Lego set. Aaaand… maybe a few real Lego Harry Potter sets… I think.

I always purchase Srar wars whenever I go to the Philippines. I purchased the giant minifigure scale Razorcrest at a far cheaper price compared to the real deal. The parts were solid and well packaged, though the enduring problem for all bootleg sets are that the packaged minifigs are very off model and can often be prints over completely different characters. Though I've been to stores that sell awesome custom minifigs.

Honestly, Lego is so scummy with their prices that I 100% support these rip-offs. The only issue with me is the quality. They often use cheaper plastics or somehow make their minifigures look ugly, like nowhere near how a real minifigure looks like.

5:40 i think you're making a mistake not taking the products you get, and focusing on pictures. products pictures online are often faked with other branding, etc, but when you get it it's a proper clone. i think the lego logo was removed from the image but it's going to be on the plaque in the box.
