It depends on if you’re actually sick or you just feel fatigued. Rest days are important so plan them after 2-3 days of working out in a row to let your body recover. However, if you always just feel fatigued and never go to the gym because you feel like you need to rest it’ll be hard for you to make progress. Most importantly though, use your better judgement for how you feel because everyone’s body is different.

If you are _actually_ sick, as in, there's a pathogen in your body that you need to fight, you should certainly avoid excercise that day. Then, depending on the severity of the illness, there's a range of things you can do. If you're severely unwell, you should rest for as long as you can (only getting up if absolutely necessary, such as going to the bathroom, cooking/eating, etc) and avoid using antipyretics (fever-lowering medicine) if possible. Otherwise, without straining yourself, you can definitely afford a small walk outside (provided it's not cold raining or whatever), get something to eat and relax, but it will make your recovery slightly slower. The reason for this is that, while you're sick, your body is using all of its resources in order to mobilise the extremely complicated defense system that's meant to fight pathogens off, while also setting up the perfect environment for the battle to take place. Fever is an immune response, your body uses it in order to slow down bacteria's replication. It feels uncomfortable, because both you and the pathogen are living beings, so when your body tries to kill the invaders, it's also hurting itself; this holds true for a lot of other common symptoms, and sometimes it's not even hurting, but rather flooding places with fluids (such as swelling, coughing, stuffy nose, among others). Whenever you can, you should try to help your body to stay in optimal fighting condition to ensure a speedy recovery (within reason).

You should definetly use antipyretics such as paracetamol to decrease the effects, if you have high fever (38-40+ Celcius) and feel so sick you can't do much. Also staying hydrated is really important and natural juices are also good because of the vitamins and sugar. Also, as you mentioned, it is important not to force your body to do any exercises if you feel like you can't. It is fine to do less intensive exercises such as walks only if you feel like it.

Not necessarily as your body tries to relocate more resources to fight off the illness, but if you’re still overexerting and not giving time for your body to regenerate the illness can get worse as you’re more tired all the time. However it does vary from people to people so it’s still better for you to decide yourself.

You can actually mesure your recovery using a heart rate tracker. It uses hrv (heart rate variability) which is the how irregular your heart beat is essentially. And turns out if you exercise a lot and sleep badly it increases ur chances of illness and injury. Also it’s weird because sometimes you might feel terrible but still have pretty good hrv. In which case you should still go and workout to sort of use your battery, and get good sleep… So you’re pretty much spot on

If your sick and wonder whether you should work out or not, it depends on where you feel sick and how bad it is. The general rule is that if you feel sick below you head, it is better to just recover. If it isn't than it is fine to work out as long as it isn't bad enough to where it effects technique. I like to think of it as having poor sleep means you'll have less energy for the day, and if your doing the same routine everyday, you'll eventually end up in an energy deficit. I think either resting all day is the body's way of trying to balance it out. So you either have to just go and rest, or you should take it a bit easy with your routine instead.

I have a really old triple spawner deck, I had a lot of success with it. Miner, Goblin Gang, Minion Horde, Arrows, Wall Breakers, Barbarian Hut, Goblin Hut, Furnace. The way I used to play this deck was to always be on the attacking side and force my opponent to defend for as much as possible in order to stall the game until I can continuously spam all of my spawners to hopefully overwhelm my opponent. Goblin Hut behind the healthier princess tower, Furnace behind the weaker princess tower, and Barbarian Hut either in front of my king tower or in the regular building placement to defend my opponent's pushes.

If you are actually sick, and not just fatigued, then resting is the play. Your immune system consumes hella energy so preferably you don't use that energy on hypertrophy. And even if you are very fatigued, resting is also the play because again, if your immune system doesn't get the energy it needs, then you'll *become* sick. But "resting" isn't just sitting at the computer. It's eating well and actually sleeping, not just lying down.

You should absolutely rest. When sleeping, or generally not straining your body, it goes in recover mode. Healing your body actually uses up energy, so the worst thing you could do is "hurting" your body even more by exercising and at the same time using up the energy it needs to recover. When you get sick, your body will naturally make yourself feel crappy and tired to encourage you to sleep and avoid doing any activities that could hurt yourself. That’s because if you do hurt yourself and get another infection, your body will have a tough time dealing with both your original infection and the new one. So if you are sick, just rest and don’t try to continue with your normal routine.

Sounds like you need to find the right balance between resting and keep doing stuff. As you said you shouldnt do nothing as that will mess with your sleep rythm as you cant sleep at night but you also shouldnt go crazy and do full workouts, go out and party and stuff. If it doesnt get better i would recommend going to a docter to see if you didnt catch any disease or a infection.

as an average gymbro I can suggest you something for your problem (this happens to me too, so it's normal): if you cant sleep enough during the night try to take some naps in the afternoon (it's better if right after your workouts) that might help. If you arent taking any kind of supplement, you should take some, even if it's just multi vitamines that totally makes the difference. Especially after the workouts make sure to eat your proteins and some sugar to recover faster: protein powder helps, fruit juice, actual fruits, some cereals, some energetic drink, the stuff like potassium and minerals (that's actually god level recovering shit). You have to take care of this things too because sleep alone might not be enough, and than you get sick. About that, if you get sick like right now you still can workout, just do the things that I wrote above and you will eventually feel better. (I'm not a doctor, everything I said comes from my personal experience)

I remembered pushing myself to the limit on the gym. The next day my legs and hands is jelly. But i still workout on that day and push myself again (less reps though cause i cant go more or match my previous). This cycle went until a week then i realized this is not working and just stop pushing myself. To be honest though pushing yourself to the limit is pain but fun at the same time.

When you have the flu, the general doctor's advice is to rest more, drink plenty of fluids and take the medication prescribed. The advice is to rest more not completely so doing some of your regular activities makes sense if you can. Also more sleep but not better quality sleep is probably not ideal.

I know I’m a bit late but the best recovery is active recovery like going for walks and light exercise far anyway from failure like greasing the groove training. Also make sure you’re drinking enough clean water, eating enough nutritious food, and sleeping enough then you should be good.

What i do is just endure it act as if i wasn't sick and keep myself moving and i get cured like in 2 to 3 days with no need of medication
